Well this is a strategy many have not understood. Many people that joined Boko Haram joined because of food. The looting of farms and stores for food made some of them to join. Now the giving of these ones food will lure those still on the other divide to come out since there is no free food in the town provided by the government.

A typical northerner does not reason rationally. You can imagine northerners blaming the Igbo traders for the rising cost of food. If giving them food as identified by Nigerian Army will cause them to drop arms why not we adopt this strategy?
Do you know that most northern corpers in camp do no want to pass out because of the free food eaten there? That food that most corpers from the south dislike that is what they desire.
