Hhmm... You're talking as if they just woke up and invaded the country. The government made itself an enemy of the US by actively protecting America's number one enemy at a time. There's really no way to start justifying a group that openly supported terrorism. The country will now become a safe haven for terrorists around the world given that they share the same ideology. Besides, the people running away today have as much right as the people you said were asking the US to leave. You don't throw away democracy cause some people don't want it.
