You could say this probably because you have a family or friends to support you.
You would surely apply for the job if poverty and hunger attack you well and you don't have anyone to support you.

My advice to the OP:
If you don't have any family/friend to support you, please pick one of the jobs. Start small and work very hard. God is there to reward your efforts.

I remember after I finished NYSC and was jobless for more 2 years. The worst part of my case was that I was being humiliated and disgraced publicly by my blood sister, who used every opportunity at her disposal to make me feel useless and worthless because I was jobless.
Imagine your sister shouting, insulting and abusing you a grown up guy as early as 5am in a compound house, all because of joblessness. She would measure everything (food etc.) in the house before leaving for work and warn me (in a very loud voice) never to touch any food in the house!

Luckily, I got job in Lagos Island in 1999 with a pay of about N6,000 per month. I was living at Akowonjo. I could only afford molue in those days. I did that for more than a year and got another job in VI for N8,000 per month. I slept in the office during the week on countless occasions in order to avoid transport and save some money. I wrote my ICAN and passed after 3 years. I was attending ICAN classes at Maryland and going back at night to sleep in the office at VI.

Today, I earn above the median of six digits, but I had to start from somewhere.
Please start little, avoid expensive friends/friendships/ girlfriends/etc, social events, party, shows etc. Just focus on you career goal, work and study hard and you would be surprised how God would change your story.

Its good you start from somewhere, take it that you're learning the work maybe you start your own tommorow, experience matter


So from there you can venture into something else, mamy people stay home without having somebody's paycheck at the end of the month

The first thing you have to ask yourself is that is there law in this country? And how many people do respect the law. Even some state governors hardly pay the new minimum wage.

I want to believe that living in Ibadan in cheaper than Osogbo, if those two towns are the point of comparison -- transportation cost in Ibadan is cheaper and Ibadan has more prospects; unless there's something else she's looking for or not saying.

That money can't even cover her basic amenities like sanitary pads, recharge card, data subscription, bathing soap, tooth paste, detergents, toilet tissue, cream, perfume... etc.

So what's the purpose of doing the job?

Let her learn a trade then source out capital to start and I strongly believe that she'll make more than 800% of that amount at the end of the month.
