I am pretty sure you get refunded the visa and IHS fee if you cancel before biometrics. I stand to be corrected on this however, I still asked this question directly to UKVI a couple of days ago and the officer I spoke to confirmed both fees will be refunded if cancelled before biometrics.

My course start date is 17th jan and school is insisting i must be in the UK latest 16th after which i should not bother to come to the UK.

I did my biometric in abuja on the 30th and i intend to go ahead with online enrolment.

My question is what could be the worst case scenario if visa did not come out before 16th?

Will there be an issue at poe if i want to enter the UK after the 16th?

I submitted a different bank account, submitted payslips because I had a study gap. The first bank is my salary account. I'm sure they want to confirm the payslips

If this is the case,I guess it's better to avoid any documents or employment letters that shows salaries to avoid delays..

I have an understanding that they do accept Nikkah Certificate but ensure to back it up with pictures of the wedding, signing etc. It should suffice. All the best.

there's no employment letter that will not show your remuneration, if you submit an employment letter that does not show your remuneration is a red flag. The purpose of them asking for employment evidence is just to show that you have been busy and you have something doing since you graduated not to check for your financial strength. after all, you may get a loan or sponsor to finance your study. your work id and reference letter from your employer are better than payslip.

Is this true that it’s a red flag, because my employment letter contains my remuneration but it’s in a 3rd attached document which I removed because I was told earlier that it’s a bad idea to include pay slips or salary especially if the amount is not so high. My employment letter says on the first page that the breakdown of my salary is in an attached document but I now did not attach the salary breakdown and will only submit the first two pages. Is this a problem ?

@bolded is not true, some employment letter won’t state the remuneration. You know why? Your colleague might be getting paid more than you for same post. Hence it might be stated on your employment letter to see the HR to finalize your pay.

Yes u can but I will advice u chill and get a biometric date first b4 u decide from date to print. Someone did his biometric a 3weeks after he submitted his application and Statement he used had already expired. He had to reprint another one a day to his biometric.

I totally disagree with this, your employment letter is confidential. you are not meant to share the details with anyone. Are you saying there are companies that tell people their pay verbally and not in writing? We learn every day.

No need for return ticket if you are a student and you need PTA, go online to fill the form submit it then go to the bank with your admission letter, one way ticket and your passport with visa inside it.
Many people are not aware that for student you can actually have a one way ticket to process your form A

ONLY airlines belonging to Schengen countries (KLM, airfrance, Lufthansa...) Require a transit visa for Nigerians travelling to the UK. Because of the politics involved in Brexit. Every other airline has no issue.

On the form A, how did you input your ticket number? after the 3 numbers, did you put hyphen ?, if you did then you need to remove the hyphen

Nope. Today made it 11 working days. I don't how how you people calculate this thing sha but the day you did your biometrics isn't inclusive. 24th to 28th were holidays, 1st to 3rd were holidays. Where did 13 working days come from?
