Hello all, please I have some questions about applying for visa.

1) I was already did biometrics in 2020 and I want to apply online. Can I submit my application without going to Lagos? What are the pros and cons of applying online against going through vfs

2) My academic session starts in September 2022 when is the best time to apply

God bless us all

Pls can someone help with info on how long it typically take for medical results to be available at ICC Canadian Imigration website after the medical exam.
I did the exam with my 5yrs old daughter two days ago, and have just checked my application portal and seen that her own has been posted as passed medical, but mine is yet to be reflected.
Any one with and advise or idea pls?

Yours will be passed as well, do not forget that the examination done for the kid is not as comprehensive as yours, so relax it will be updated.
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 20 by Akannitommy: 7:10pm On Nov 10, 2021
Also, I think here, you should have selected "expenses paid by me" or something like that because technically the school funding is already your money.

Is the attached the part you are talking about?

Really unfair. I did biometric May 28th and eligibility has started since September and nothing since then. I'm in my 6th month. I'll wake up every morning expecting a good news and if I don't get one, my day I'll be ruined. This IRCC delay is in another level... Still, I hope on God for good news soon.

Goodday guys,
I just graduated from University with a Bsc in Computer Science. I’m looking for schools that offer course based routes in Computer Science (I don’t think thesis is for me).
My CGPA is 4.6 but I’m skeptical because admission is always competitive for Computer science.
Is there anything to make my profile stronger?

Greetings, hopefuls!

Forgive me for the delay in returning to complete my testimony. I hope the information below inspires someone, but please, it won’t be fair if I do not emphasize that your submission and the range of documents you submit is strictly down to God’s favour when being assessed. However, by all means, submit ALL that you can, but first, ask yourself, “if I were the VO, what would I think about this?” Just my tuppence o… It will end in praise.

As a first-time applicant, I used an agent in Lagos who did everything for me and even hooked me up with expedited upfront medicals – just because I am an extremely busy person, and I didn’t want to make mistakes. I must confess, every step of my journey is a testimony of protocols being broken for me. From only applying for my master’s in June for the fall intake, to waivers being granted for me to get admission, to the school supporting me with a letter to IRCC apart from LOA, I submitted my application on July 17, 2021.

My funds weren’t complete, so I used my half-brother as a sponsor who had funds stashed haphazardly in various accounts which he had to converge into one account and I submitted both our MBS’.

Date submitted: 17th July
Biometric Request: 18th July
Biometrics was done & updated: 23rd July
Upfront Medical: 9th September
Medical passed: 17th September
BVL & PPR: 28th October
TOTAL: 3 MONTHS AND LIKE 10 DAYS
My testimony won’t be complete if I don’t disclose that my school had to intervene with IRCC when the delay was evidently impacting on my emotional and psychological balance.
• All IMME forms

• Passport data page
• Letter of Acceptance + Evidence of payment of a deposit which covers 1st term and half of 2nd term.
• Proof of financial support – mine Naira NGN5/6m, Account in America $2K and Cowrywise savings of 500k
• Sponsor’s current account statement – Half-bro NGN6m
• Sponsorship letter
• Sponsor’s International passport data page and stamped visa pages
• Sponsor’s CAC certificates
• Statement of purpose (4 pages) – simply built on my admission statement
• NECO, undergrad and postgrad certificates and transcripts
• Deleted my express entry profile before starting to avoid dual intent stories that touch
• Police character certificate
• NYSC certificate
• IELTS result (expired at Band 8.5)
• International passport (data page of current and all expired ones) + visa pages and evidence of previous UK denials.
• My birth certificate
• National identity card
• Sponsor’s birth certificate to prove that we have the same father
• Professional CV
• Letter of intro from employer
• Professional memberships & certificates
• Listed all my siblings – over half live in the US & UK.
• COVID vaccination card

I am in my late 30s, in the legal profession, and with over 12 years study gap. From this great platform, I learned about upfront medicals and how to bombard IRCC with emails (even though I had the wherewithal to only send about 10 or so). I held on to my faith in God and I didn’t defer instead, started classes in September, and boy, just like that 1st term finishes in a few days!!! Look, don’t let them lie to you, master’s + full-time work isn’t for the fainthearted!

To the altruistic, selfless folks on here who have helped others commence, sustain and complete this journey, may God always come through for you.

To those waiting for a decision, open Hebrews 11:1 and meditate on this scripture (yes, Muslims are enjoined to do this, too) and start your Hallelujah dance!!! I repeat, do not let the spirit of fear and anxiety take over your life… constantly remind yourself of ALL the great things God has done for you and you’ll see that this phase is nothing compared to the others. DELAY IS NOT DENIAL!

Love & Light

bysolaro:
My HEBREWS 11:1 GOD has come through! I testified that this month, my Hallelujah will be louuuuuuuuuuuuuuuddddddd! The wait has been longggggggggg, but on Saturday, the Lord reminded me to hold onto HEBREWS 11:1 and to be anxious for nothing ‘cos my approval is coming this week. I started classes in September and Oluwaaaa, it’s been difficult! Omoooo, Master’s no easy o!!!!

I am in my late 30s with previous travel history, completed undergrad in the UK almost 18 years ago, education gap is like 12 years, half of my siblings are abroad. As a first time applicant, I used an awesome agent, but looking back at my SOP and the wealth of information you all freely give on here, it certainly wasn’t perfect but my EVER FAITHFUL GOD perfected it all!!!!! Thank you to every single one of you that selflessly shares credible information on here and to those who are simply silently reading, may God arm you with the wealth of knowledge that will enable you giveback and help others. The ideas I was blessed with from this platform: completing upfront medicals, using webform, how to bombard IRCC with emails to appeal to them and info from landing gists. Ohhhh, lest I forget, GCMS notes, too - never applied sha.

My wait was for three months, and I know there are scores of applicants whose application has been pending for even a year - my charge to you (irrespective of your religion) is to meditate on HEBREWS 11. I promise you, even when I was a Muslim, this scripture ALWAYS comes through for me.

Who am I, o Lord that you are mindful of meeeeeeee??

I am aware of the tradition of posting timelines, so I won’t violate it. Allow me break the good news to my family first and do my thanksgiving azonto. I will locate every document I submitted and share. See ehnnnnnn, I have been crying tears of joy and shaking like a leaf! What God cannot do does not exist!!! Tell your neighbors!!!!

Best breakfast ever!!!!!!!

British Columbia, here I come!!!

BobLeeSawagger1:
Hello Great People,

First of all, I want to thank everyone on this platform for the knowledge sharing. With God and the info on this great platform made it happen!

I got an ITA from Saskatchewan in 2019; I submitted my application but was rejected based on settlement funds. This was so painful because I had the money, but I transferred it to an investment account and failed to include LOE in the application. The key learning for me is that" ALWAYS EXPLAIN EVERY SITUATION TO THE VISA OFFICER AND DON"T ASSUME THAT THEY UNDERSTAND."

Fortunately for me, I received another ITA the same month (Feb 2021), the same month I got the rejection letter, which the process is still ongoing, and I'm hopeful for a nomination before the end of the year.

Not having all my eggs in one basket, I applied to Humber and Centennial College and got admission to both Colleges. I decided to go with Humber College.

I reached to an agent in Toronto to assist with the Visa application (Study visa + Visit visa for my spouse and two kids). He quoted $1,500 for a study visa and advised that I go first, and in three months, I can apply for my spouse (Open work permit) and kids (visit visa). Because I didn't want to leave my spouse and kids behind, I decided to DIY for my study visa and visit visa, for my spouse and kids - which I strongly emphasized the need for my family to accompany me for one month in my SOP.

Confirmation of Online Transmission: May 12, 2021
Submission Confirmation:May 12, 2021
Biometrics Letter Collection: September 27, 2021
Correspondence Letter for study visa: September 28, 2021
Original Passport Request: September 28, 2021
Original Passport Request for spouse: October 5, 2021
Original Passport request for kids: October 6, 2021

I was banned in the UK for ten years and the ban will expire next year, February - an agent messed up my application.

My spouse wrote my SOP, and we worked and prayed together. I am so happy that I did the application myself without paying money to anybody.

QUESTION: I plan to change my spouse's visit visa to a work permit once we land. How should I go about it? Is it advisable to do an upfront medical and take the sheet along to Canada for the application? Or, can she do flagpoling? If yes, how should we go about it?

Thank you.

Kindly advise on what to do going forward considering the following:

Applied: June 18
Completed biometric: June 21
Medical request: September 20
Passed medicals: October 12

I haven't seen any update or heard from the IRCC since I passed medicals.

I also hadn't written them before nor ordered a note. Hence I do not know which visa office is handling my application.

What can I do to get a decision soon? We often say no two application is the same, but we’ve seen a lot of people get their PPR in record time , especially recent applications between August and September.

The same thing happened to me all you have to do is wait.

Middle name should not be an issue...
Except there's something to it.

Apart from full name on statement of account, there's always Home address there too.
So you should be fine if it's your account and not some similar name sumchin wink
