6 Reasons You Are Always Tired All The Time by Y4all: 3:32pm On Aug 25, 2021
It can be really frustrating to feel exhausted a few hours into the day. Some people always feel tired on a regular basis. This results in daytime sleepiness, lack of productivity and reduced efficiency. Many factors can be contributing to your lack of daytime energy and sleepiness especially when you are not pregnant.

Here are 6 possible reasons you are always tired:

Low oxygen or ventilation level in your bedroom.

Many of us enjoy a private, quiet room at night-close the windows, the doors and wrap ourselves in a thick duvet. While this may look cosy, it is not advisable. The findings from a study on how bedroom air quality affects Sleep and next-day performance shows that people who close their window sleep in a poorly ventilated bedroom feel groggier and lack the ability to concentrate the next day. However, when oxygen levels and fresh air content in your bedroom is adequate, it results in the following:

Improved sleep quality

You feel better the next day, less sleepy, and more able to concentrate

Your performance on a test of logical thinking improved

We recommend you use a ceiling fan if possible because it is effective at moving warm air that gathers at the top of your room. Also, if you must keep your window closed, make it a habit to open your windows first thing
in the morning.

Poor diet

Fatigue is most times a result of lifestyle choices such as your eating habit. If you regularly skip meals, you will constantly feel tired because of the lack of calories to boost your energy level. Not eating enough, or observing long gaps between meals can reduce your blood sugar, decreasing your energy. Do not skip meals, eat a balanced diet at the right time (at least three times a day) and proportion. Also, you can eat a healthy energy-boosting snack.

Lack of Exercise

You have the tendency to always feel tired if you do not exercise regularly. A lack of exercise can result in being overweight which could also be a cause for tiredness. This will make it more difficult to complete physical tasks. So, create and stick to an exercise plan, this will make you more active and alert.

Not having enough sleep

The importance of sleep cannot be overemphasized. When you have a quality night rest you will wake up fully refreshed and vitalized to take your day. But, if you are a culprit of revenge bedtime procrastination, take work
to your bedroom or do not have the recommended duration of sleep for your age, your energy level will be grossly affected. This could be the reason you are always tired. Be deliberate about your sleep and wake time, create and stick to a healthy sleep routine. Interestingly, having quality sleep also helps you lose weight. Ensure you use a quality mattress because your mattress impacts the quantity and quality of your sleep.

Stress
Stress does not only make you tired, it also causes headaches, stomach problems and muscle tensions. When you are stressed, your body releases an increased amount of cortisol and adrenaline to respond to the situation. However, in the case of chronic or prolonged stress, your body will be affected, this will leave you exhausted. As a solution, limit your activities to order of priorities, set SMART goals and always create time for relaxation.

Dehydration
Your body needs water to work well. Dehydration can trigger feelings of tiredness thereby reducing your body’s ability to perform optimally. Some of the signs of dehydration are dark yellow and strong-smelling urine, dry mouth, feeling dizzy or lightheaded and tired. If you are always tired, increasing your fluid intake especially water to keep you hydrated may just be the solution.
