Buhari is useless. He is just there to occupy the presidential villa, steal funds, make nigerians look dumb you all know this things before y'all voted him back in 2015/2019 knowingnfully he is a clueless man who is just desperate for power, a man who has zero plans for the improvement of this country 3 Likes |

Hrm... I would have really liked N216 naira per dollar. It was very OK. Bubu will make dollar equal 1000 naira before he leaves. Just prepare yourselves. Maybe we can redominate the naira so that the current 1k will become 1 naira. Bring back kobo too 2 Likes 1 Share

This thing is simple economics nigeria's trade balance is low (foreign reserves is correspondingly low) ....There is also a high demand for foreign reserves the govt cannot meet up the demand, hence economic policies to restrict demand .... But there are legitimate businesses that need the foreign currencies to buy materials for their business to function, some go to the banks but it is rationed there, so they have to source it elsewhere. But some avoid going to the banks as a means of avoiding taxes this i know for a fact !! Another factor is the perceived lack of confidence people have in the naira as inflation sets in ..people and businesses are scrambling to convert all the naira to the dollar ...as it is more stable !! The CBN economic policies are sound there are smart people in there.. but they fail to realise the human factor and how people react to thier policies...some polices dont need to be announced and just done on a low ,openly telling the country that BDC will not be supplied with foreign currency caused a panic ... 1 Like |

hustla: Ignore these selfish idiots... They are too full of themselves and too dull or myopic to see that with increase in the suffering of the majority of people around, the greater reduction in the safety of those more comfortable or fairly comfortable. I keep telling them... Bragging about being wealthy in the midst of worsening poverty is one of the dumbest things ever, cos the wealthy can never have peace to enjoy their wealth as long as the poor get poorer! A lot of Nigerians don't think beyond their noses... That's why this nation has failed to truly grow. 7 Likes 1 Share |

goody234: A smart economist that does not consider the human factor - what do we call that? Economics is 90% human factor: by definition it's a social science that studies how people interact with value, focusing on the behavior and interactions of economic agents (i.e. people and businesses (run by people)) 2 Likes |

ProfAmaben: Good... Hope you are not living in Nigeria too?!! Cos when the average citizen can't meet up with his basics, crime will soar astronomically... Anger will increase dramatically... Anarchy will eventually set in when the shit finally hits the fan. Even the highest fences and personal security won't suffice then... It won't matter your status in society. If you're seen to be living comfortably, you become endangered by those with nothing left to lose!!! So, keep selfishly celebrating the collapse of your nation's economy... Just keep it up!!! If you have watched the Hollywood movie series titled "The Purge", you will fully catch my drift... If you haven't, try and see them. Also see the Matt Damon film, "Elysium"! Watch them and understand the dangerous path this nation is headed under Buhari. 6 Likes |
