Nothing serious is been hard from the aboki's state, or are they afraid of restructuring and true federalism ni . Even the east is stylishly afraid of lending their voice to independence resource control and true restructuring and despite them wanting to walk away from this false marriage.....

In Nigeria of today, Yorubas mean what they say and say what they mean. They don't throw tantrums to then have ulterior motives or a hidden agenda like some. Also, Yorubas genuinely love and care for each other beyond politics.

Our leaders are corrupt too but what has now forged this unity in us is the suffering visited on innocent Yorubas ,in their own land, by Fulani bandits , that we are aware has been abetted by federal might and an ethno-religious agenda. It sparked a "never again" reality in us we are now acting on. Nobody should treat Yorubas that way. That anger is in all conscientious and aware Yorubas today.

We know our worth to understand we put into Nigeria far more than we get out and don't deserve this treatment, causing the destruction of Yoruba lives and property, because of 'one Nigeria'.

Forget the center and the Presidency. We still want those but they are secondary because we now understand they are the deserved rewards for a people who are the lifeblood of Nigeria and do the right things all the time, far more than others, to keep the peace and maintain the wellbeing of our nation while others act up always like selfish and destructive toddlers.

Our main priority now is to control our own security, developmental direction and socio-economic fate more independently because we are seeing that, for advantages we Yorubas possess and for what we are about, that could be worth far more than controlling the center and the Presidency.

With a holistically restructured Nigeria, where everyone can develop at their own pace, who would need the center or the Presidency?

The SW would no longer dream because the dream can become reality. For example, electricity could be 24/7 and 365 days a year for the first time in the history of Nigeria post independence for all parts of Yoruba land.

Yorubas have simply woken up to the future ahead of all others. Thanks to Fulani myopia and desperation for gluttony, retention of a redundant status quo and feudal wealth/power grab for themselves at the expense of others.

In as much as i totally conforms to the idea that state should collect their vat ,just imagine that the eastern are the one's championing this reform, the argument would have been different, especially on nairaland the headquarters of hypocrisy.

If your leaders in the SE, or even ordinary people, do the mature, right, progressive and adult things all the time, as Yorubas do, then perhaps you would be taken seriously in an ethnically, culturally, sectionally and religiously diverse nation.

Northerners hardly do the right things ever but they have to be carried along because of the advantages they gave themselves to always remain relevant to the political direction of this nation i.e fake population figures and greater number of states which translates into more Senators and reps etal. They took advantage of the "majority carries the day " cornerstone of democracy.

Igbos don't have that luxury. What would have stood you in good stead in the eyes of the world would have been consistently mature,unifying, bridge-building progressive and peaceful behaviour.

Qualities you Igbos have never had but would rather deride as "cowardice" in others.

Of Failure, Betrayal & Cover-ups:
The Self Destruction Of A People...
From 1999 - 2015 (16 years) we did not hear Marginalization, Chritianization or Nepotism in Nigeria.
The Igbos, their cousins in South South & Christians were in total control of the Federal Executive Council, the National Assembly, the Army, Police at some point, DSS & office of the CJN etc.
In the 6 years of Jonathan, the Igbos alone where in total control of 85% of key federal executive & legislative positions as well as heads of strategic federal agencies & the Army.
The North & South West did not grudge them nor made cricket noises about Marginalization, Christianization, Igbonization or Nepotism.

They recognized that it's a party democracy that we are practicing in Nigeria & the party that wins share everything. PDP was winning for 16 years, so, Igbos & their PDP shared everything to themselves.
The North & West bidded their time without grudges, remained consistent with their smart politics in the opposition & by 2015, they succeeded in taking power at the centre.

The Igbos & their PDP, accustomed to power & looting of the treasury for 16 uninterrupted years could not believe they are out suddenly & could not imagine a life without the national treasury they enjoyed into emptiness for 16 years.
The Igbo politicians, federal ministers, Igbo hitherto heads of federal agecies, elites, federal contractors, Ohaneze & their looting Igbo Clergy accomplices with nothing to show their people the Igbos for their 16 years control of the federal government & the federal treasury;
their party PDP, with nothing to show Nigerians, with nothing to show the Igbos & campaign in the next elections as what they did in Nigeria or Igboland for 16 years in power controlling majority states in Nigeria & in Igboland, controlling the federal government & the federal treasury;
now quickly regrouped in a massive propaganda of lies & self-delusional campaigns of calumny against Buhari, his administration & APC claiming Marginalization & a hidden agenda of Islamization, Fulanization & Nepotism.
They regrouped from the pulpits, in Dubai, inside the bushes & forests around Nigeria with terrorists, bandits, armed cultists, IPOB & other insurgent militias to unleash terror & general insecurity in our land to cause mass discontent & insurrection against Buhari's APC administration because they have nothing as their achievement for 16 whole years to campaign with in any election in Nigeria.

The question then is;
at what point did the Igbos that own PDP, controlled the federal executive council, controlled the national treasury, controlled the army, controlled the police under Onovo, controlled the national assembly, controlled finance & the CBN, controlled majority of key federal agencies, controlled the Igbo states for 16 whole years & presently control over 50% of the properties in Nigeria including Lagos & Abuja, & till date control commerce in the 36 states of Nigeria become marginalised or enslaved by any other ethno-religious group in Nigeria?
Buhari's APC administration had something to show to Nigerians in 2019 as their 4 years achievements.
They will have hundred times more things to show Nigerians as their achievements come 2023.
In Igbo land, Buhari's APC have hundreds of achievements including multi billion naira ultra modern highways, bridges, interchanges, airports, seaports, railway lines, power projects, refineries (the one in Ohaji already completed & producing), agricultural projects, industrial parks & help to Igbo businesses to make them global players today (Innoson, Anammco, Choscaris, Air Peace, Oliserve just to name a few) & Ziks Mausoleum etc to show Igbo electorates as their achievements for 8 years.

Where is our Igbo brothers run PDP & government achievements in Nigeria or Igboland for 16 years they were in charge?
For the past 8 years, we Igbos & our diabolic PDP have no logical, clear nor cohorent intelligent strategy to win back power at the centre or at least get ourselves back into the mainstream of Nigeria's politics.
We are busy doping ourselves with infantile idiocy, making ourselves a stench in the nostrils of other Nigerians with our juvenile insults, abuses & swearings that smacks of lack of home training.
We have taken the most stupid self-defeating & self-annihilation path of killing oursleves & our SouthEast economy with the IPOB/ESN/Unknown Gunmen monster we are feeding, paying, equipping & covering.
On the eve of 2023 crucial elections that will define the next 50 years of Nigeria, we are "sitting at home" while the West & North are strategizing.
A sad shame indeed how a once thought intelligent people have allowed a selfish elite & their hired opportunistic conman - Kanu lead them by the nose into self destruction with lies & propaganda from the pit of hell to cover their 16 years of total failure & betrayal.
Odiegwu really!!
you dey mind them,they insult Yoruba for voting for buhari and Fulani party,I don't know if Atiku is iyamiri...now they are making noise that APC should give them ticket,that it is there turn to rule.... nobody said they should not rule but they have to go to PDP for ticket!

By residency rule, where the workers are is where they pay to.

In the case of oil companies, most of the workers at the top management level live in Lagos while those at the lower level are in Bayelsa state. This explains why the large chunk of the PAYE goes to Lagos.

This is an ignorant statement, employees income tax is not paid based on the head quarters of a company or where oil is being extracted. PAYE is paid based on the state the employee is based or where the employee resides. Bayelsa will received income tax for those that live in Bayelsa.

Yes, it's time for all these mushroom states and Local government Areas in the North to shut down. They have cheated people enough with that. A street of 300 inhabitants is a local government just to milk our common resources while in the other regions, one local government is made up of more than 2 million people.

Let's see it this way sir. You're a producer of chocolate bars and your corporate office is in Lagos due to nearness to the market. However, your production plant is in Ondo state due to proximity to raw material and cheap labour.

The scenario painted above is exactly what happens in the case of IOC companies. Let's now ask ourselves if it is right for the company who situated its headquarters in Lagos for strategic reasons should pay tax to Ondo state because their production factory and raw materials comes from there or they should pay tax to the state that houses their corporate presence.

In my opinion, Ondo state can only lay claim to tenament rate and the income tax of those workers within her territory while Lagos have every right to collect tax on whatever the company declared as profit because that's where the market is.

To buttress this point, companies in Lagos whose staff live in Ibafo, Mowe, Agbara and other Ogun state communities but journey down to Lagos everyday to work, those companies do not pay income tax of those employees to Lagos state government. I know this for a fact. They only pay income tax of those who live in Lagos to the Lagos state government and this has been on for a very long time. This same argument goes for the case of the IOCs. They're only entitle to pay income tax of their staffs who work on the upstream or downstream to their state of residence and nothing else. In as much as their head office continue to remain in Lagos, it is 100% legal for them to pay their taxes to Lagos state government.
