I smoke and drink at the detriment of my health which has seen me access the hospital on many occasions than normal.

Ur healing already started d moment u are aware is dangerous and you will die soon, so prepare your things and write your will. But if u feel u still want to stay longer, take it easy on yourself, reduce d quantity u take gradually, for instant if u take a pack in a day reduce it to let's say half or even less, each month give urself a Target and try to achieve it, I pray God help you and know this that God loves you and will help you over come it, only if you trust on him. Avoids friends or joints that are involve in it

Hello, i do not really know if you are ready to stop but let me share my experience with you on smoking and consuming alcohol for about 25 years of my life. i tried to stop that rubbish but i could not, i tried and tried and tried all to no avail. it got to one particular year, i decided to calculate how much i had spent buying cigarette and alcohol, i was shocked to have discovered that i had spent over N500,000. my health was deteriorating and yet i could not stop, i seek for help from friends and from every other avenue yet no solution. one day i wake up and i was gasping for breath, my heart was failing, i was having severe issues with my health and i knew for sure the origin of my health issues and yet i could not stop. That very morning i decided to seek Jesus Christ with all my heart and that was it, i am free from cigarette and alcohol addiction till date. i have seen people that died as a result of addiction to alcoholism and smoking and i have seen people tried to stop on their own but they could not, they died living in it. brother you can not stop this on your own, there is a demon attached to this. the same demon responsible for masturbation is responsible for smoking and alcoholism.
Jesus Christ can set you free. Jn 8:32 Matthew 11:28-29

Bro if your intention to quit is health motivated only, it may be very difficult for you to quit this addiction. See it as a sin, genuinely ask God for help. Do a 3 day fasting and prayer with the intention of quiting, you will be amazed how God will take away your addiction. I was a serial smoker, it was so bad that even if i during water i will smoke white London. I took the decision to stop smoking, i did a 1 week fasting and prayer and God answered. I haven't smoked any type of cigarette since i quit in 2003. No addiction is easy to stop, na why we need to run to God. Good luck bro

Might sound funny the best and easiest way to stop is to replace it with another addiction.
Try hanging out with sensible ladies- this will make you stop faster as they wont like you oozing of cigarette and alcohol.

Stop hanging out with friend who smoke and drink.
Visit a doctor.
Don't listen to the guy that comment first.

I had a friend like you though he doesn't smoke but he is a heavy drinker like 4 to 5 bottles of life beer daily . He says he is addicted and can't quit until November 1 2020 when he fell in a bar and developed partial stroke. Since that day till today he has not tasted anything alcohol n bedridden with partial stroke, let the health warning be a warning to you.
