AlmonDeLemon:
Straight to the point,

I'm a chronic addict of alcohol and cigarettes. I use them heavily and that has caused me a lot of health issues. I'm struggling but couldn't quit.

I smoke and drink at the detriment of my health which has seen me access the hospital on many occasions than normal.

I've applied all techs thru people's testimony of how they quitted but none worked with me.

I swear every night that I've quitted but on first light the next day the craving increases.

I'm battling multiple health issues and I need help.

Please, anyone with a way out help please. If I don't quit now, I'd kiss mother Earth sooner.

I need SOLUTIONS...

Okay. Can you try this...Anytime you have the urge to drink, don't fight it. Just go and buy the drink. Take it home, open and put some inside a cup. Then before you drink it, put something inside the drink that you know would disgust you. Make it like a cocktail. See if you will still have the urge to drink it.
Actually, I have heard that putting lizard inside the bottle of your favorite drink for three days, and then drinking it will kill ones appetite for it.

My brother the fact that you are looking for a solution that in itself is a big achievement.
I have strong belief that one day you will come out of this, may be not immediately but ultimately.
Wishing you all the best from the struggle.

Here is a tip that you can help during the struggle

Try to write down all suffering you go through when ever you engage in those act.
Try your possible best to go through what you have written down like five times in a day or even more.
Go through it over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over.
Don't let your brain to forget the suffering.

You achieve that writing it down.
Going through over it again and again and again and again and again and again and again.

All the best from this side.
I have strong belief that you will get over it.

Bros you be learner here.
I started smoking 1990 when I entered uni and stayed with my older bro on campus who was a smoker. Alcohol joined. Till date same problem. I have tried and tried to stop no way.
What then compounded issues was when I opened a bar many years ago. Off course steady flow of free alcohol and cigar.
The attendant health issues are there for a long time indulger. Lately I have stopped alcohol and will only take a sip at social gatherings once in a blue moon. Cigar is still the problem though.
When I visit my bar in the evening, I remain in the car and drink water so the temptation is not there.
Anyway if you have to drink, make sure you eat well. Also avoid the cheap spirit eg Kai Kai, that is a early ticket to the grave. Drink the higher end stuff, red label, Hennessey etc.
