Waiting for the elders

I got a teaching job in a primary school here in Kogi State on July 15, 2021. My appointment letter stated that i should resume on september 13th and i should also drop my account details before leaving the premises. So i've been sitting at home waiting for September and to my greatest suprise when august came to an end precisely 24th August, i received an alert of 50k then i quickly called the school accountant to know if it was a mistake because i know i'm not entitled to any salary since i haven't started the job yet but the accountant said that the school policy states that once you're given appointment letter work has started so its not a mistake. I was shocked and wondering if such organisations exist in Nigeria. Now my anger is that i resumed work on Monday the 13th September, 2021. But i was told that i'll be in charge of grade 3, that i should go and sweep the class, mop and arrange the pupils tables and chairs. Is that my work? What do you think guys?

What's d big deal in doing it for your precious students? Besides u were paid even before u started any form of work...be grateful and keep ur eyes open for bigger opportunities

Wait first,I don't understand something....Na the sweeping and the mopping wey you do nai dey pain you so abi na wetin?

Chebi na only you say you never know see organization like this dey exist wey dey pay pre-season salary? . Abi Don't you know that things like this come with a different kind of sacrifice that you must offer....
