What do you do in Agriculture chief, Livestock or ?
Where are you doing this
I have been thinking of doing this for a long time.
I have like 500k saved somewhere.

benuejosh:
it will for some time. This is because we are yet to reach full sufficiency in food production. A ban on import on certain agro products caused the price rise. Till we are able to produce enough food that we consume, it will keep rising for a while. For now, only those in the rural areas are farming with the old known methods. We need a full fledged mechanized farming system to boost food production. That can cater for every single person in the country.

Get into agriculture and make money. Money der agriculture. I am a living testimony.

Few days ago, we had claims of cargo planes going back empty without cargo because of high cost of export occasioned by illegal charges by illegal agencies which caused the export capacity of the nation to plummet, now another fellow is here with a story on the sudden rise of agric export.

Who is been truthful?

BMCs are wanking allover the post.

Southwest leading again.
Yes as we've always led. It's our government , especially the military led govt of Northern extraction who deliberately destroyed our commonwealth and focused only on oil where they were getting free money. This is a good reason we must split from them. They ruined cocoa business which used to be our economic mainstay but now, they want us to embrace cow business by force. I blame our leaders down south shaa. All these nonsense would soon stop.

Great job!! Cocoa is coming back as a top forex earner and probably explains the high IGR is the SW states like Oyo and Osun. Kudos to all the Patriots, especially to the farmers ,the hardworking patriotic CBN Governor,Mr Emefiele, and his team at CBN for your intervention in the agricultural industry . Please don't relent and don't allow them to frustrate you. You will overcome even the current challenges posed by currency speculators and those supporting the unpatriotic actions of the currency speculators because they hate President Muhammadu Buhari and/or they are benefiting from the unpatriotic currency speculators.

In the same country where some are cursing themselves and lamenting online, some are idling away online, some hoarding dollars to create scarcity and resell at profit and some actively enabling capital flight by using naira to buy cryptocurrency hosted in foreign nations , these patriotic farmers ignored all the negative people, toiled hard and today bringing in high amount of forex into the country. God bless them. This is a proof that you don't need to steal from government or be a drug trafficker or internet fraudster to earn USD. Agriculture is doing it for these farmers big time!

We should start looking at investing in the value chains of these agricultural products so we can export less of the raw produce and more of the finished products from the raw materials e.g import chocolate instead of cocoa beans.

If you are considering going into agriculture, these data can give you a clue on where to pitch your tent. You can produce the raw agriculture produce or manufacturer finished products from the raw materials or provide logistics to support these emerging and thriving forex earning agricultural produce.

All the enemies of Nigeria will lose las las. They always lose. God bless Nigeria. If you need free book on business ideas and money sources directory , check here https://www.nairaland.com/6666800/looking-business-ideas-money-fund
Why should we be exporting cocao in the first place , why not chocolate

Always, it is this blaming games again and again for lazy people, so the military stopped you and others from farming like others farming.

This is the worst propganda news i have read in recent times. Exportation has been no go area especially from LAgos in few months. Most containers heading to seme border cant go anywhere due to new tariff imposed by Nigeria and other countries where it will pass through. I donnt know about Cargo export but i believe it is same issue.

food prices have been rising ever since 2015, for how long will the prices continue rise?
Have enough persons not joined the production of food coupled with the various govt agric intervention sufficient to bring the price down?

This is pure bullshit...
Export cocoa at #1naira then import cocoa pops, candies, chocolates, beverages etc at #10naira
I will be excited if we produce cocoa, add value to it by producing beverages, cocoa pops, and exporting finished products.
Agriculture-Industry approach should be encouraged

It's all still same old stories, nothing to celebrate.
Export crude and import fuel.
Nonsense and ingredients
