Ten abducted students of Bethel Baptist High School, Damishi, Kaduna, have been released, after more than 11 weeks in captivity.

The students were abducted on July 5.

Joseph Hayab, chairman of the Kaduna State Chapter of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), said the 10 students were released on Sunday afternoon and were reunited with their parents.

Hayab expressed optimism that the 11 students still in captivity would soon be released.

“10 more students of Baptist High School were released this afternoon. We have 11 now with bandits. Thanking all Nigerians for their prayers and support. Trusting God that the rest will be released very soon,” he said in a message.

Going back to any school again is like "future impossible tense" for this kids.

Their parents will not even allow them to leave the house.

It is so sad that kids that are trying to get formal education are being discouraged by monsters created by this Government of terrorists.


I can't imagine the PTSD those kids are going through.

There is no way you can abduct so many grown-ups & be releasing them in batches & at your own convenience without the government or security forces being aware of the kidnappers & their location.
The government & Security forces are the ones aiding & abbeting Kidnapping & Banditry.

They are gathering ransom,paying the bandits and rescuing the kids,next Sunday probably they would have gathered more money to rescue more!!!

I so hope those kids weren't messed with....abused.
They are gonna need deep counseling because they have been traumatized beyond measure.
