Life as a worker in Nigeria is difficult bro.

Those guys sleeping on the bus are no different from slaves.

Let them rest pls. It’s not easy.

It's seems we are running out of questions on NL. Unless you don't reside here in Lagos... The stress and hustling at work is enough to make a grown man fall asleep at any given oppurtunity. Imagine those on the road now going to work dey will reach by 8 or 9 then start work almost immediately. By 5 - 5:30pm again they will start hustling for bus and you expect them not to sleep at the slightest given oppurtunity?
The way you make it sound as if it is absurd for a nairalanders not to live in Lagos.

Exhaustion, you don't expect some one that live in Sango and work on highland to be having a good morning or night sleep inside his house, most people wake as early as 4am just to reach work on time and probably reach home very late at night and still prepare things against work maybe get to sleep by 11am or so.

@op, are you okay with this explanation or you need me to add that 'if you have not been able to rest)sleep appropriately over a period of time, you have every tendency to take nap wherever you have the opportunity.. .most especially when u have your relative quiet time. It can even be in the office or anywhere

It's a sign to identify those who have giving up on life. Check them very well. They are psychologically tired of life. The believe Whatever happens is the fate of the moment. Do you understand?

For Interstate travels, it's not advisable, especially if you're using an unbranded transport company. So that you can at least be aware when you're been kidnapped.
But for places like Lagos where people enjoy suffering, they need the sleep in order to avoid physical, mental and emotional breakdowns.
You can even find a whole brt bus of sleeping passengers on their way to the island.

You asked this question probably because you are a newbie in Lagos or you are not working. Or maybe you are working in Lagos but your place of work is just a stone throw and not several kilometers afar and you don't resume work as early as 8 am. sad

I remembered 2008-09 or thereabouts, I was having less than 3 hours sleep everyday because my workplace was far from my house, and the early morning rush was a nightmare.

Damn, I slept in danfo no be small. Even one day when I took okada, I almost fell off while dozing.

It isn't about stress at all, I have travelled short journeys of about 15 minutes in rural areas and yet some passengers will be asleep in less than 3 minutes. My guess is that the movement of the car added to the breeze blowing past them induces them to sleep, because these same persons would never have slept if they weren't in the car. They wouldn't even sleep if you put them on a comfortable chair or a bed. They wouldn't sleep if the car wasn't moving. Lastly, everything is not Lagos, Lagos is just another state in Nigeria, you guys should stop using Lagos to represent life in the whole country.
