Fulani herdsmen under the aegis of the Miyetti Allah Kautal Hore say despite their exit from the South-East and the implementation of the anti-open grazing law, the region has continued to witness insecurity.

The spokesman for the group, Saleh Alhassan, stated this during a chat with PUNCH Live on Tuesday, adding that the development was evidence that Fulani herders were never the problem.

He said that there was no more open grazing in most parts of the South-East but only cattle trading, adding that the cows being sold in the South-East mostly belong to Igbo traders.

Alhassan stated, “That nonsense you see in the South-East is a manifestation of frustration… They will continue burning their cities, killing themselves.

“Now that the herders are not there, they are still killing themselves. Sometimes they wear Fulani attires to continue to commit heinous crimes.

“Now that the herders are not there, are they having peace in the East?”

Alhassan added that the constant sit-at-home orders given by the Indigenous People of Biafra which were being violently enforced had led to the loss of cattle, hence the exit of Miyetti Allah.

“Those Biafrans are shooting and killing their animals. Those making noise in the media are cattle traders. They will not go anywhere. The cows you see there now belong to the Igbo,” he stated.

The Miyetti Allah spokesman said the group would not obey the anti-open grazing law being passed in most parts of the South because open grazing remains a way of life.

He said that the group would be suing all the states enforcing the law, adding that Miyetti Allah would also make political and spiritual steps.

“First, we take legal action; secondly, we’ll seek a political solution and then spiritual. We will invoke the wrath of God on those opposing the open grazing law,” Alhassan said.

The Miyetti Allah spokesman also denied reports that Dr. Chike Akunyili was murdered by herdsmen last week.

He argued that the blanket ban on open grazing in the South was connected to the 2023 elections and was a ploy by southern governors to force their northern counterparts to negotiate for the presidency amid the raging debate on zoning.

Alhassan, however, vowed that the group would never support the presidential ambition of any governor that is enforcing the ban on open grazing.

He said a governor like Rotimi Akeredolu of Ondo State who is at the forefront of enforcing the ban on open grazing should forget about getting their support.

When asked why herders are not embracing ranching, the Miyetti Allah spokesman argued that ranching was expensive and could not be done overnight.

He advised governors to set up ranches and then lease them to herders rather than ban open grazing without providing an alternative.

Imagine the audacity of this terrorists. They are directly saying that upon they are not on ground but they are still terrorizing the east by using their brothers who are security agents. Those who are accusing IPOB of being behind the attacks can now see the people behind the carnage going on in the east

The truth you won't see on the media is actually Yeroba took over from where Fulani stopped and that's why when you enter villages in Nsukka, onueke, Arochukwu, Adazi-Nnukwu and many more like that yerobas are fast taking up this villages and igbos tears are not being heard up till now. if you can trace back to history twas the same way yerobas took Ekiti and Ibadan from it's original owners (that's a story for another day) converting it from South central to SW

Lol.

Fulani Herdsmen terrorist left and IPOB terrorists took their place.

Both of you are weray. By the way, we don’t want open grazing in any part of the South so Miyetti terrorists should better move all their cows to Kano before it gets too late.

This is to say that Miyetti Allah is fully aware that there is no peace wherever they reside.

They know they were not giving the people of South East peace when they were giving freedom, hence their conclusion that even when they left the place is not peaceful.

However it is none of Miyetti Allah terrorist business if South East is still not peaceful even with their absence, now it is brothers against brothers and no foreign body is allowed to meddle in the affair of brother's war.

Congratulations to ESN for a job well done.

Notwithstanding the provocations and threats from Fulani dominated Federal Government and the Military. ESN was able to achieve the set target for which they were formed.

Once again, congratulations.

How many IDPs did you see in Southeast? The answer remains zero. The Igbos don't waste life. If anyone does, he/she will be killed instantly by the mob who detest injustice and murder.

Stop reading national dailies for indepth knowledge of what is happening Southeast, listen to local radios in Southeast through their Facebook pages.

IPOB is not a threat, rather the Nigerian Military and security apparatus expecially the evil DSS who are responsible for attacking civilians and infrastructures in the region.

Look at the idiat.
What we are currently facing is fake anarchy by fifth columnists who are writing a script they hope to nail IPOB with. All the shenanigans is just force a tag of terrorism on an otherwise peaceful group.

So I don't understand what this man is talking about, if the fulani herdsmen terrorists have left our region then that's good news, they should continue to stay away, period!

How many IDP camps do you see in the East as we've seen in the 'pissful' north and SW?

The East is peaceful, efulefus who point to their father's house with a cursed left finger are the only ones on the run.

We now know that government agents and politicians are behind the pockets of violence in the SE.

I have finally joined the nairaland forum today after many years of reading funny comments trailed by abuses, bashing and what have you.
Anyway, I am from the north central of northern Nigeria. I have always wanted to join this forum for long, but each attempt I made at registering I get declined one way or the other which I can't explain. But finally am here.
I must confess that this is the most abusive forum I have ever seen, people rain abuses on one another as if we are not of same country. People abuse leadership, abuse themselves with recklessness. What has happened to our sense of morality, dignity and love, we threw all that away and engage in things that will further divide us as a people. The holy books which we drew wisdom from admonish us to pray for leaders and leadership when things are not going the way we expect it to go through their bad leadership, whether intentional or not, we should pray for them. Instead we get reactional with tantrums and negative insults on them.
We need to change because in one way or the other every one of us will be held to accounts by his or her deeds.
I also discovered that the Igbos and Yorubas on this forum exhibit a very dangerous hatred for themselves, you abuse your selves and abuse your leaders, this will not take u people and your region anyway, no matter how the north seems to be backward in some aspect of endeavours, that unity is what has kept it relevant, the people of the south must learn to emulate that. I can understand that the south are divide by ethnicity and cultural differences unlike in the North wer such is scarcely present, but you guys can come together and workout the best way to manage situations and on how to leave harmoniously.
Fighting yourself won't be the solution to the things happening around the region or passing of bucks. Mind you, I am not exoneration the north or saying that the note doesn't have its own challenges, but they have in a little way find some kind of solutions to it which I urge the south to do same.
I pray that things workout for every region and God bless Nigeria
