Good afternoon nairalanders,
I don't know the right section to post this but this is quite painful.
Recently I started putting down my experiences and thoughts into writing, so I publish what I write on my blog, the blog is relatively new and under construction, so I first post here on nairaland and then my blog.
Today out of impulse I decided to run a plagiarism report of what I wrote and the result was quite the unexpected, it came out 88% plagiarised, I was shocked, this means that someone on nairaland here copied what I wrote and pasted verbatim on his/her blog, this is disheartening.
Nairalanders please check out my previous thread https://www.nairaland.com/6783063/menace-quack-nurses-experience and compare it with
https://niyitabiti.net/2021/10/the-menace-of-quack-nurses-my-experience/.
No credit was given, not even to nairaland, it also shows that I plagiarised nairaland too.

My second topic was also copied by the same blog please compare dates of publication
https://www.nairaland.com/6797734/some-myth-medications-nigeria
https://niyitabiti.net/2021/10/some-myth-about-medications-in-nigeria/
For heaven's sake if you can't write pay people to write for you, everything I wrote was from my work place experience and someone was just somewhere copying it.

Lalasticlala, this is not good.
On further check, the owner of the blog copies nairaland, every topic on nairaland goes straight to his blog.

Pele.

The good thing about creativity is it does not run out from its original source.
Just be more protective of your art/work.

You're even helping the thief promote his blog by posting the link. cheesy

I'm sure he's reading his.

State of the society. Quite unfortunate that people steal nearly everything here! This is what goes on on most Nigerian blogs and websites. Most of the owners can't piece a proper essay together. What annoys me is that they won't pay someone to do quality writing for them. Instead they go about stealing good contents, stories, thoroughly researched works from people's blogs and social media pages without acknowledging the originators. Shameful!

This copyright infringement is very widespread. Someone will copy almost everything in your book, retitling it all together. Then he'll launch and market it as his own book. grin

Plenty of work needs to be done in this area. Unfortunately everything looks zigzag I must say. Bro, don't be pained. A creative mind always reproduces something new. Report the criminal to Google and move on.

Don't waste time messaging him on FB, just report him to Google DMCA like someone suggested above.
