This story of yours made me remember what my dad told me some time ago. It happened in the early 90's, more than 25 years ago.

A friend of his wanted to travel and got to the Park. The vehicle was a Peugeot 504 station wagon. And he got a seat beside the driver at the front.

Now, a lady came by and there was only a seat space remaining at the rear back (the wagon is three rows). The lady complained that she can't seat there and said she would've preferred the front seat.

In order not to waste time, and out of good will, this man (my dad's friend) got up from the front seat and offered to seat at that space at the back so that the lady can occupy his space beside the driver.

With happiness the lady jumped at the offer. The journey began. And on the way they had an accident.

Did you know that everyone died in that accident except my dad's friend? The driver, the lady and the rest of the passengers passed on, while my dad's friend got spared but not without an injury.

With his escape, he still had fracture in one of his arms and he got POP and bandage in that arm before he recuperated.

Boss, things dey happen for dis life.

A lady really annoyed me this morning.
I had gone to the park to board a taxi back home. The guy who was loading for the driver directed me to the taxi that was loading. An elderly guy sat at the front seat while a lady was seated by the door and she was the only one sitting at the back. Note that the drivers take three passengers at the back.
Immediately I saw how the lady sat at the door- her body language- I decided to enter from the other side but another passenger beat me to it plus I was approaching the taxi from her side to I just decided to enter through there.
The lady rather than shift to the middle came out for me to enter without any form of excuse which I found annoying.
I made my displeasure know to her but she just kept mute as if no be human being dey follow talk. I still repeated myself.this lady just start blowing out like burning charcoal, shouting at the top of her voice that "do I think she is a baby for me to treat her like that".

To make matters worse,the passengers and driver were telling me to not retaliate because na women. Na so we go continue to dey tolerate nonsense. Even na guy, I go still tell am wetin he do no correct.

The lady was the first the get into the taxi and took her position by the door which normally should be her advantage, so you been the last to eventually enter the taxi doesnt really have a say as to where u should sit at that moment. Its left for the person by the door side to decide to shift for you to come take their place by the preferred door sit or come out for you to go take the middle or whatever sit is remaining which is absolutely their right.. And if it doesnt suit you, you can decide not to board and wait for the next taxi where u can try take a preferred sit position. I think that's just taxi ethics and its been so for as long as i can remember. So bros that right you were claiming wasnt really your right, it was hers.

It's said that variety is the spice of life. And God knows exactly what He was doing while creating these varieties.
