Sit-at-Home Necessary Evil Against Greater Evil Of Oppression - Gandhi

"Historically, sit-at-home is a nonviolent form of civil disobedience. It was deployed with remarkable success against the British Raj in India by Mahatma Gandhi. At the time in India, I think Gandhi was asked if it was necessary, and his measured response was that it was a necessary evil against the greater evil of British oppression."

"In their reaction, the British colonialists saw it as the greatest sign ever that Indians were never relenting in their quest for freedom. And what did the British do? They abandoned their usual course of levying force and rhetoric against the people and resorted to dialogue. So, the issue is not whether any sit-at-home is necessary but why the authorities are not deploying the facility of a dialogue to containing it."

Real oppression and an imaginary one born out of hatred for a human being.

Nonsense. Your region is inconsequential in the grand scheme of things. Your sit-at-home cannot be compared to the Nationwide one the Indians did. Back then the British was also using the Indians to work and profit so it affected them. If the Indians foolishly sit now like they did back then they will only be affecting themselves. That's what you IPOB illiterates don't know. The economic activity of the southeast right now is only for the gain of the southeasterners so you clowns are protesting against yourselves because the money derived by the government doesn't come from your region.

You knuckleheads just read history upside down and take the wrong lessons from it.

Why would an Apex body of thesame tribe be like this be saying the government will deploy the tucona jets. Are those jets meant for the marginalized and suppressed population or for the terrorists in core north. May God heal this country

"in pretense to quell the fallout from the one week sit-at-home."

Nigeria is a failed state and we know it.

let's face facts, the sit at home isn't helping the south east region economically, Multinationals are watching, foreign investors are watching, local investors that is the igbo top business men will be thinking twice now before investing heavily in the region, we can't hurt ourselves thinking we are hurting buhari, his tenure will pass, he is not even educated enough to be concerned about the poor man's plight, 2023 he will pack his worst team out of aso rock, Nigeria is bigger than buhari. God bless the southeast, God bless Nigeria.
idiot IPIG ,your eyes will soon be clear, when your dot zone become empty, continue sitting at room not only home, foolish igbo people ,

No FG must not.

IPOB should continue "punishing" Nigeria.

Let them increase it to 6 days a week instead of 1.

It's not dt Ohaneze is incapacitated or dt govt has run out of ideas on how to stop d forcing of people to sit at home every Monday by smoker touts and hoodlums claiming to be ipob. The reason for d delay in action are:1. To see d direction of d agitators clearly.2.To do Anambra election successfully.
If not,a nod from Ohaneze / state govt to d fg would turn Anambra into a military barrack leading to d stoppage of d madness.Ohaneze on its own can liase with d state govt to form dreaded vigilante groups to counter d hoodlums.Snd people will support them in cash massively.
And dt will also affect ipob greatly.
It's high time ipob obeys the directive from Emma powerful their spokesperson by dealing with the touts still enforcing Monday sit at home order as well as call off he election boycott.Even MNK once soft pedalled and allowed for election to hold in Abia state.
If not, they will soon lose d support of d people they tend to enjoy.Freedom struggle is a long term thing and shld be fought with more of diplomacy considering d facts dt other states included as part of biafra by Kanu rejected d agenda.

I have never seen a more stupid group than these IPOB or Igbo people. Like other states and regions are developing at a rapid pace, yet, nothing to write home about the southeast. Now, they're self-inflicting mountainous economic suicide on its people and businesses. Like the logic behind these decisions are worrisome.
