Open your brain and let truth enter.Mandela spent 27 long years in SA prison. A freedom fighter can only be in jail, or exile or grave , that's the price. As clueless as your rulers are , they will continue to walk into all sorts of pithole.

UN had no power in this, how do I know, my father worked for the UN for 28 years until his retirement in 2008, we practically grew up with cartonised fundamental human rights, hence i knew what rights were growing up. We often talk about human rights, but we failed to acknowledge infringements from our parts on other people's rights when calling for what is rightfully us. And all in all, these laws are subjective. Saudi Arabia for instance has many violations of human rights, but they remain a strong ally to the US, why? because they respect their Islamic laws more than any other thing, and the UN laws respect that as well...that is why at the end of the day, common ground is what is looked after as an arrival point.

Well UN as a group is toothless unless the major power (permanent 5 in the security council)sign up on an action. Most times UN is just about talking and giving non binding resolution as you can see in Myanmar.
