UN had no power in this, how do I know, my father worked for the UN for 28 years until his retirement in 2008, we practically grew up with cartonised fundamental human rights, hence i knew what rights were growing up. Someone just gave u well articulated valid points and u are countering him with what doesn't make any sense. Osama Bin Laden was an internationally recognized terrorist, granted. But the U.S operation that killed him was illegal. First off, the Pakistani government never knew he was hiding in their country, that was the official story anyways which could be a lie. Meaning the U.S should have informed the Pakistani government of the operation to get Bin Laden which they never did. And that was violation of international law and another country's sovereignty. Pakistan lodged a complaint, what came off it? Nothing. I'm not debating whether the Nigerian government is right or not in Nnamdi Kanu's matter, but just know nothing will come off it from the international bodies

Point of Correction, Jamal Kashoggi case was a different kettle of fish.
Aligning and shielding the Saudi Govt of the crime was not a US foreign policy. It was a personal decision and interest of Donald Trump to do so against the wishes of the US Congress.

I agree. But where IPOB should start from if they are any smart is to question the process of extraditing him into Nigeria in the court and also in the Kenya legal system. That will give bite to the agitation not just UNCHR's opinion

I believe his legal team knows what they are doing, this UN query I believe will also be served to the Kenyan government, both governments will find it difficult to provide legal documents to backup how kanu was brought to Nigeria from Kenya, except Kenya will at some point claim Kanu disappeared from their country without their knowledge.

This will put the spotlight on Nigeria, as it has always claimed Kanu was brought home with corporation of Kenya and interpol.

Am not sure if interpol can confirm this. The fact is that there were several illegalities sorrouding how kanu was brought to Nigeria in the first place , even the UK might not escape some blame.
