Hello gurus, Thank you for all the information you've made available here. Please I am a crossroad. I have an offer from a UK school but with the recent update about FSW, I'm also considering Canada. My score on CRS is 476 and I believe that I'm well positioned for this. Can I still move to the UK and continue the Canadian application from there or will it be impossible? |

Prettiepearlz: If the pass mark is 40/50, I support prettipearlz's suggestion. CIMA has a pass mark of 70% which is crazy especially when you dont have a background in accounting/finance |

jolak5: It is very possible. But I usually advice people to focus on one Japa route. Weda na canada, uk, US or Australia, all na first world countries. Currently UK has a lot of opportunities especially if u go there as a student, the chances of getting a ILR is very high if u know what u r doing. For me I no get money to do canada and uk together. I have been saving 21k usd for More than 2yrs because I dey wait make canada give me PR. Anyway wish u all d best. If u have the resources of cos u can do both uk and canada 5 Likes |

Hi Guys, To show proof of my experience, I can only have access to reference letters from my previous employers, No pay slip was issued to me when I was working there. Is the reference letter just enough? or Will the statement printout of my account showing when and the amount I was paid be needed as a replacement to the pay slip? Thank you |

I have a similar experience for about a month now. I received the Pre-Arrival Services Letter and another mail titled "Request Letter". However the Request Letter contains GCMS Notes that were not ordered and the GCMS Notes contains for several people. I have since written to them through the 'webportal' but automated replies. Just wondering what one should do? Allegory: |

Rapture07: Yes do it from the U.K. no problem. Also if you have the opportunity to choose between U.K. and canada in future go for Canada, it’s better. 1 Like |

jolak5: It all depends on you and your access to cash. Typically for you to study in the UK, u will need a minimum of 15m ( tuition fees, living expenses, visa fee, flight, medical tests etc). The question is after spending 15m can you afford to finance Canada Immigration via Express Entry? Immigration via EE would cost u an average of 6m ( proof of funds, visa fees, flight, medicals). However if finance is not a problem, u can go study in UK and continue processing your Canada PR from there, for most people it is a case of opportunity cost and alternative foregone. 6 Likes |

Sholy29ice: Yes reference letter and salary shown on statement is fine. Just circle/ indicate your salaries on the statements so that the officer will understand. You should also include a letter that you were not issued payslips and hence the reason for indicating your salaries in the statements. 1 Like |

jolak5: Folks have given you sound advise. I just want to add that Canada PR can take up to 2 years! By which time you would have finished your masters degree in the UK. If it were me, I'd go to the UK and start my studies and see how things progress. The UK isn't a bad country to live in too 2 Likes |

She did not include her hubby's ECA, it was not required because she had sufficient CRS points without it but VO rejected her application for being incomplete, The judge didn't waste any time, correct guy. One of the shortest judgments I've read. I say again, more people should go for judicial review, some VOs were not listening during training! ...https://decisions.fct-cf.gc.ca/fc-cf/decisions/en/item/521725/index.do?q=express+entry+permanent+residence [3] An Immigration Officer rejected Ms. Amiri’s application for being incomplete pursuant to section 10 of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Regulations, SOR/2002-227, because her husband’s education credential assessment [ECA] was not issued for immigration purposes. [4] Ms. Amiri submits that her husband’s ECA was not a mandatory document because she did not need the points associated with her husband’s level of education to rank above the minimum number of points to obtain an invitation in the relevant draw. She was able to calculate that she had 370 points without those associated with her husband’s level of education. [8] I also note that a page from IRCC’s website, reprinted in Ms. Amiri’s application record, states that an ECA is a “mandatory document (if applicable)”. I take this to mean that only an applicant who intends to claim points based on level of education is required to submit an ECA. Ms. Amiri had no such intention, because she did not need those points. [9] Thus, it was unreasonable for the officer to reject Ms. Amiri’s application merely because she had not submitted a valid ECA for her husband. Having found that Ms. Amiri had not submitted a valid ECA for her husband, the officer had to ascertain whether the remaining documents supporting her application demonstrated her eligibility for the class and substantiated a number of points above the minimum for the draw in which she participated. #Justice&Equity #ThingsILoveAboutCANADA #RamblingsOfAnApplicant 9 Likes |

jolak5: Going by the "bird in hand principle", go with the offer you have and stick with UK if money for the 2 japa waka nor dey. OR Pursue both UK and Canny concurrently if funds are not an issue. OR Since you have money to go to school in the UK, plan C, Canada study visa? 4 Likes |

Marike2: If middle aged means 45 yrs old and above (zero CRS points for age) PNP is probably your best bet (your NOC may be in demand). Even with TEF you'd probably be below 450. Younger spouse with 2 degrees/MSc, willing to learn French or with an in demand NOC solves lots of CRS problems too. Page 1 is your plug, FAQ 8. 1 Like |

jolak5:Hi. Of course, you can move to the UK and carry on with your Canada PR process. Location is a non issue in this case. If you ask me, finance and and your current schedule is what should shape your decision at this point. Finance because paying international student fees in UK won’t come cheap, while at the end, you will likely move to Canada when your PR is approved - going by the CRS score you have stated. On current schedule, what I mean is - what you currently do. Are you meaningfully engaged in Nigeria (job or business) that can help you wait out PR application process. If yes, I believe it is better you concentrate on PR especially if you don’t have the resources to go the study route in the UK. Especially with the notice that all program draws will resume on July 6. Who knows, you might even get ITA on that day. Nonetheless, it is your call to make. But note that it is much faster to become a PR in Canada than UK. Cheers. 4 Likes |

jolak5: Question: How much will I spend to become a permanent resident in Canada through the Express entry route? Answer: As of now, you will spend at least $2,090 CAD + POF (13,000cad which belongs to you after you land) (as a single applicant). total is 15,000CAD You may spend more depending on your case. so weigh your options very well. if you go to you UK, you will spend at least 12,000pounds(thats 20,000CAD) on school fee alone without the processing fee, insurance fee, flight, living expenses etc. with 476, i am still certain that you will get ITA by december if the IRCC conduct a back to back draw from JULY to DECEMBER. best of luck 6 Likes |
