Was charging and pressing the phone when the Lightening and thunder struck..

Even me sef think say the phone no go work again.... But it's working fine....

Just that i am still feeling dizzy....

that lightning didn't go through you or your phone man. there is no way the phone will ever work after receiving just normal 220v from the socket in your house not to talk of lightning that is sometimes in the range of 1 million volts. the highest transmission towers from power stations in Nigeria carry only 330 kv and you can even hear the sound of it going through the cable at some distance away not to talk of 3x that.
what you have is panic attack not anything from the lightning. all the same go to hospital and check out your blood pressure and heart echo tests.

This exact experience happened to me on 30th of October 2021
Lighting occurred not the thunder and all heard last was 'tick' sound that was the electrocution point at the time I thought it was rare you could see the wonderment when I saw this thread part of the reason is my phone doesn't have pouch or protective covering so I was exposed to its metallic body

Don't use your phone while charging... Very important

You'll be fine .. just take plenty food with plenty nutrients to replace wetin the lightning zap.. take blood tonic too and multivitamin..

Your house is obviously ill equipped to handle lightning, something that should be the standard in every building. This country sha ..

Also if you have a very good breaker or something, it should have activated immediate the surge went through the house..

Your own na even phone, mine blew my laptop charger and the lightening passed through the mother board of the laptop and rendered it useless. Omo fear lightening o!

@highlighted part - that's suicidal ! There have been several articles,even here on Nairaland ,why people should not make call,receive call or do anything with their phone while charging it. It's even more dangerous when it is raining as that's an invitation to thunder strike and avoidable death !

Even with thunder arrestor, it's copper, i installed it.

I have seen flash light coming out of wall sockets in the dark, when lightening occurs. It makes a hiss sound on the wall socket.

Exactly what happened to me. My phone no get pouch, last i remembered my phone dey gate from room
Same week an aide of a chairman was killed while browsing and charging

That's why I switch off my phone when ever I hear gbararara!! From the thunder storm.

lol I don experience similar case, Omo when the thing strike, my phone just fall commot my hand asap! ( the phone still dey work ) My hand just stiff, be like blood no dey pass again, na rob I use before I regain my self. Ever since that incident, I no dey press phone if rain dey fall

Exactly the same thing that happened to me 2days ago, was charging my phone and it was raining, mine was that NEPA took the light but my charger was still plugged to my phone and the socket and this scary lighting strucked, D thing trew me up from my bed and I landed on the floor n my phone was just sparking, I didn't know where I was but I thank God He saved me. Pls guys this is a serious lesson to all of us, once is raining unplug your phone from the socket before using it

Make sure you never leave your ’phone on the bed or have it in your hands when it’s charging. That’s a recipe for disaster.

You don’t need first-aid treatment (you’ll live either way) but don’t ever do that again if you value your life. People need to know that it’s not safe to leave your mobile on your bed when it’s charging and very bad things have been known to happen in that particular scenario so just count yourself lucky that you weren’t burnt to ashes.

That was how it fried my table phone one morning . The voltage it induced on your phone only floated and the circuit could not be completed. If you hadn’t dropped it, you would have been the medium that could have completed it but you would have been gone by now.

Maybe you watch porn a lot and the merciful God decided to strike the phone instead of you. Confess your sin to the most high and he'll have mercy on you
