Some pills are meant to be swallowed whole... This is to enhance absorption and promote efficacy, especially for sustained or controlled release medications or gastro-resistant pills.

To crush them would defeat the aim of their design.

You are doing it wrong, some drugs are designed the way they are for a reason, inorder to get to their site of action.
Grinding some drugs might get them completely digested before they get to their site of action,best to follow ur doctors or pharmacist direction to drug use.

I may be wrong but crushing the drugs into powdered form before taking will increase the rate of absorption which may be counter-productive for some drugs.

Maybe the body may need to absorb the drugs jejely you come dey rush am lol

Once worked at a chemist in hometown Benin and this guy's comes in the morning to get some malaria drugs. I mean,dude came for chloroquine tablets. Gave them to him and next thing guy threw the first dose(4 tablets) into his mouth and chewed and swallowed them without water!!!! Without puritone that shields against that bloody itch!!!!!

You can wrap it with eba or fufu before swallowing naa. That's the trick wise people like us use.

Eba and soup, pill inside EBA, scoop soup and swallow then sip water. That's what a lot of people here do.

Hope you don’t think this makes you smart. The drugs are designed to slowly dissolve so your body can take absorb smaller pieces by pieces, gradually over a long period of time. What you’re doing makes your body absorbs too much quantity and in a short period of time which is dangerous for your liver.

Stop chewing or crushing drugs unless specifically stated.

Stop chewing paracetamol or any other drug.

Stop using juice or any beverage to take ur drugs.

Most substances on their own aren't toxic. Some reactions between the drug and any beverage might make the hitherto safe drugs and nontoxic drink, toxic and cause harm to ur system.

Stop taking drugs with drinks. Use only water.

Capsules are not designed to be eaten.

I was a sickly child, so chewing medicine or getting injections is no big deal.
