Throughout this week, i have been watching video clips and interviews of the young serena and venus Williams with their father and i can say that their father had an instrumental role in their success.

I think he should be a role model to every Nigerian father. This man saw the talent in his daughters and helped to develop it by training them and employing coaches for them.

Like when i look into our society, Nigeian fathers are in another world of their own,no relationship with their children talkless of their daughters. Most Nigerian men don't understand the role they have to play in the development of their daughters. They don't help in the development of their talents or education, no discussion with their daughters except it is about finance and paying school fees. The Nigerian father does not know his daughter and the daughter does not know her father except that she has his surname.

I was literally impressed with the way the Williams father interacted with his daughters, how he built them emotionally and mentally, it was mind blowing, these are the traits missing in the Nigerian fathers. I hope Nigerian fathers can learn a little from the venus and serena Williams.

I will just post some videos for you all to watch

Yeah
In Nigeria, the connection between fatherand children is not strong.
My dad will only shout my name when ever he want to send me, my dad believe every thing outsider tell him about his children without a second thought.

Nigeria fathers see their children as the cause of their misfortune.

I have seen a lot.

It is disheartening to hear.

It is a pity that relationships between children and parents especially fathers is all about paying school fees, feeding and going on errands, no one to one talk, nothing.

Infact, some parents only start to give attention to their children when they start to bring money home.

Child training is dysfunctional is this part of the world.

True!

That's why I admire my boss. I admire the sweet relationship he has with his daughters.

I believe there are still some Nigerian fathers out there who establish good relationships with their children but they are so few.

We are just unfortunate backward in this part of the world. Thanks to few fathers that identify their roles and play it well. Thanks to some mothers that are up and doing.
We are waking up and we will get there by His grace
When we see few people doing it right without compromising but greatly rewarded, others will follow suit. Thanks for awakening the spirit.

There are many roles to be played in the lives of children by the parents. No one is excluded in spiritual and moral training of children
