Thank you for your observation. I was scrolling through the comments to see if I will spot at least one intelligent person to confirm that this is a cock and bull story, I am glad I found you. Anyone that can dole of N7M as bribe does not need that job because he would likely have twice that in his savings or at least have people around him/her that can further contribute more towards a more worthy cause. Why would anyone do that for a job that is not certain after paying the bribe ? Anyway, this is the era of #SoroSoke/#LekkiLies where every silly story is believed without facts. A girl was shot at Ojota by the police during the #EndSars protest, immediately the mother and other members of the family of the victim started screaming on top of their lungs to call the attention of the whole world to their plight. They were not afraid to come out ! In the case of the crooked Lekki Massacre lies, where are the family of the supposed victims ? TheN1: |

Very funny country. Mine happened in 2006 or there about. I had an invite for an interview with Zain(Now Airtel) for Customer care service in Delta state. The interview happened in Zain office at Oghara. I performed so well that the HR person confessed to me that I exceeded their expectation, considering the fact that I came from an engineering background. They promised to call for my employment letter. I still dey wait for the letter though, lol. After about two weeks i called the same HR lady that was impressed with my performance to know if the letter was ready. 'lo and behold' employment letters were sent a week after the interview and i was not sent a letter. I called a friend who worked with Zain back then and he informed me that The governor (Ibori) instructed that only Oghara citizens should be employed. After then I carried on with my life. About two months later I got a job as an engineer in huawei technologies. Did two years with them, left for Alkatel Luccent (Now Nokia) and finally doing my 13th years with the biggest Network provider in Nigeria as an Engineer(Senior specialist) I thank God they rejected me. Most disappointment come with blessings if you have faith and believe in yourself. 7 Likes 1 Share |

Nicklaus619: Similar experience. My name was number 9 on the list. It was published online. Everyday I will Google and see my name and I was very happy. They told us we would get messages to come to Abuja for documentation. I waited ooooooo One day I googled and didn't see my name in no9 again. Infact, the whole published list was brought down. Till today, I don't know what happened to the list. I never got a call or text. Someone stole my role. E don dey pain me afresh because I know where I for dey by now 1 Like |

SPLENDID25: The first job in life l would have got, was at NLNG but l was replaced at the last moment by somebody else, who l was told was sponsored by a Northern Sultan. I always thought being brilliant is enough to get you any job in Nigeria BTW, it was the Oyinbo Head of recruitment who told me and asked me not to lose hope that if they needed more hands, they will contact me. He was honest enough to tell me what happened and for that, l will be eternally grateful to the Oyinbo Man. They too fall under immense pressure from the "Corruption of Nigerians" and they have no choice than to bend, if they want to continue doing business in Nigeria. Standing up for One "unknown" Candidate is not worth the effort to challenge the Nigerian Power Brokers I was already dreaming of Scotland training back then. But l still thank God, despite the seeming loss, l could be dead by now but here l am, alive and doing fantastically enough for my liking. Everything works for good..... 3 Likes |

OldSkoolHeadBoy: Go and ask people that take Customs, CBN, NNPC and other juicy, "No Sacking" Govt Jobs, how much they use, in bribing. Even Politicians are given "slots" to give to their constituency and they end up selling it to the highest bidder. People borrow and take loan to get such jobs because they know that it will repay back the "investment" hundred fold over time, in Bribes and looting. When was the last time you heard that any juicy Govt job recruited "openly" ro that some random-Joe from nowhere was employed there? Do you know how many people elope abroad, after paying good money, to be on "Govt List" for some International function? There are even things that cannot be said on a public forum like this, that goes on in Nigeria. Someone has asked that we pay #3M for my Wife to be given Customs Appointment, many years ago (that money is worth over #10M in today's money). We could afford it but l was not really interested in my Wife joining Customs (or any uniformed job for that matter) and l used the "money requested" as an excuse to convince her that it is not worth it but a mutual friend of ours did pay and is high ranking Customs officer till today (dont expect me to even give a hint of who it is, non of our business here). You pay, you get the job, as long as you did not pay to a fraudster. Nigeria is completely f*cked!, l hope and pray it does not implode on itself, one of these days. As for the other #LekkiRants, you are On Your Own (OYO) 2 Likes |

AgentGoat: At least unlike some guys, you did not say it does not happen. If you have heard #2.5M in the past, just know that the 1Ton of iron we bought for #240K in 2018, is now over #400K. Inflation dey affect bribery and lobbying for jobs too. #Champions league: Messi is becoming a liability to PSG. he does not mark at all and is a 'short-one' to his Team. FarahAideed: People dont take up these Govt jobs because of Salary anymore. They do so because of bribery and looting. Did you not hear of that Abuja Civil Servant hwo had 103 Houses in Abuja? Was that bought with his Salary? Did you not hear of how much they want to use to buy "Uniform" for Drivers, Generator, etc, in FIRS Budget? I am sure you know better. Do people joins Police because of Salary or Bribe? I wanted to pay Stamp Duty and one fool at FIRS asked me to go and bring 400K, as Bribe! I was like, l am paying taxes, not asking for a favor! 1 Like |

FarahAideed: I just recorded the conversation, kept it and walked away. The day they would do nonsense, we will meet in Court on Why l could not/did not pay the Tax. Those Guys just slap you with a hefty Sum, as if it is their Right to task you such Amount. I was in Court to do Stamp Duty a Rent Document whose value is less than #2M and the lady Registrar l met, who was suppose to asses the Document based on value, assessed at just over 50K but said l must pay her 150K, making 200K in all. I was shocked because this was supposed to be a Judicial officer of the Court, right there inside the Court Office! Civil Servants are the biggest Problem of Nigeria, they are the ones thattrain the Politicians and their Corruption can make Satan become born-again. 1 Like |
