Honestly, if you ask anyone double dating, they will justify it with many reasons but personally I think people do that because they don't want to be left hanging. It's like every other thing in life, having a plan B so that they don't completely lose out.

I am not in anyway justifying this act because for me, it's disgusting especially when the people involved don't even know they are being played.
