There is no war brewing anywhere , its all 8n your imagination , so that when something bad happens you can have something to thank your useless god for leaving Nigeria. It was your choice to leave to America same way it was my choice to move to Germany. I just visited Nigeria few months back and back to base. So stop typing what u don't know
Sorry my Lord!.
Thought they said Travelling is part of Education.
Will my case be different?

It beats my imagination how the FG sits by with reckless abandon and allow trained hands it trained or substantially subsidised their training to immediately graduate and head overseas to work there leaving their parents behind for others to care and attend to.

If you go overseas, you better take your family along, especially your parents. This is because nobody here will take you serious when you are overseas and start suggesting interventions when your parents get into health crisis. It happened recently with Dr Malaifa. Nigerian health care professionals who stay back mock them with "sebi it is us who can't go overseas to practice too and abandon our parents? ". Even if you are staying far from Nigeria because you are from a dysfunctional family system here at home, to avoid stories that touch, take your parents along or that Nigerian system you cheated will , sadly, consume them. I know few who come home only for funerals of their parents and it's sad listening to their accounts of how their parents die without reaping the benefits of having children who are healthcare professionals.

Those who stayed behind to develop and serve their fatherland could as well have left like you too. As we type here, Cuban health care professionals will hardly leave their country and considered one of the least paid in the world but for the love for their country and parents, they stay within their country and serve. Since all these years we have been "exporting " doctors, Pharmacists, Nurses etc overseas, we have never seen any of our 'exports' on Forbes list or rank high among wealthy Nigerians, making one to wonder if they are truly that successful financially overseas. I even see a few do better here than some overseas! So who is NMA fooling?

Honestly, I blame the FG for not putting measures in place to get value for taxpayers who they used their money to train the NMA members. It's completely unacceptable.
All the enemies of Nigeria will lose las las, they always lose. God bless Nigeria forever.
all these nonsense you spewed here belongs to the gutter.

You never mentioned banning corrupt public holders from medical tourism but it's easier for you to label Nigerian doctors "enemy of the country"

See how insincere and unintelligent your perspective is?

Look at the pathetic analogy you narrated up there. It's complete gibberish.

You want to force doctors who are unmotivated and disillusioned to remain. Is that the kind of doctors you will like to meet when you're sick?

Can you force unwilling doctors on patients?

Do you see the senselessness of your position?

A Normal argument would be to understudy what attracts doctors to migrate and replicate those conditions here but your political bias beclouds common sense. You'd rather cast aspersions on people who have laboured under terrible conditions to earn their qualifications.

You think they are not successful in those countries. Ehen now, leave them like that. Aloe them to keep travelling there. Why stop them? You want to impose your own idea of "successful" on them? Lol

Dude. There's life beyond political slavery. Even your paymasters won't be impressed with the iranu you typed up there.

I like your view on this post, I wish I knew you.
you're both in need of a psyche evaluation of you're pleased with the current situation of the country.

You think it's only doctors that are leaving? Every young Nigerian person who wants to make a meaning out of his life wants to leave. They only need to cross the hurdles... They're already out of Nigeria in their minds.

I didnt say your case is different, but experice of travels should add knowledge to someone that u don't talk about what you do not know entirely about. Some of us still have hotel businesses and estates that we move back check up once in a while and do know exactly what is on ground .

Peace of Mind.
Quality of Life.
Security of Life.
Did you know that President GEJ's younger Brother died of Cardiac issues before he could be airlifted to Abuja enroute abroad?
This was when GEJ was still president.
Despite being in that position, they couldn't handle ordinary cardiac arrest a US police officer could manage till EMS arrives.

ALAMESEIYHIA, former Governor of Bayelsa state died in the UPTH of Port Harcourt.
Could you believe there was no single mechanical ventilator to monitor him all through before he died despite his wealth and money embezzled?

ABUBAKAR RIMI, former Governor of Old Kano State died in the ER of Aminu Kano Teaching Hospital. One of the reasons was unavailability of ordinary OXYGEN.

OBADIAH MAI LAIFA of CBN just died, guess you heard his story too. Being a wealthy man in Nigeria is not a Guarantee too.

Even BUHARI is not left out. He's also tired of being a NIGERIAN too.
He travels 2weekly to see his Doctors because he doesn't have confidence in the Almighty ASO ROCK CLINIC

D TRUTH Is, people are TIRED of being NIGERIANS

Now I got u where I wanted... Plz what is entrepreneurship...? Taking advantage of loopholes... U are in the UK and have worked to ear so much and seen such opportunities , u delve I to it and make the most of money for it . Since ur the only one providing the services.. u charge as u like ..

See leme giv u this gist... A certain doctor in Awka Anambra state who build a Normal hospital after working in government hospital for years realized there are no sophisticated health machine throughout the state to run the utmost health test to acertain good diagnoses, he isnt into lab, he went and borrowed from Bank of industry and bought an MRI scan machine with over 170million.. and kept in his newly built lab...

Soon after the news went viral, that ALL the hospital now send people there for the last resort lab diagnosis.. even from other neighbor states... Now the state government also signed an arrangement with him on the sending of patience to the lab for periodic diagnosis...

You hear people say they paid upto 6million at eldorado hospital ND lab before thier relatives eventually dies... Countless number of persons... The man now lives the best life there is...

Govt. Can't do it all.. take advantage of deficiencies ND stop running away

Bro, you are wrong. Most VIPs that travel to Uk don’t go to government hospitals in Uk. They go to private hospitals. It’s Uk government hospitals that are mostly employing Nigerian doctors not the private hospitals and most Nigerian doctors are GP in UK. I have a friend who graduated from Uniben in 2010. She’s still a GP and this lady is brilliant. She never failed a course in medical school and her dad is also a doctor. It’s not all that rosy for them out there like they making it seem.

But at least, they are making better income out there under favorable work conditions compared to back here. Clearly, it is 'rosier' out there than back home.

Nigerian government would rather do all it takes to scuttle the immigration process for young professionals than make any effort to address the prime cause of brain drain.

I agree with the NMA president. However, if medical personnel keep leaving Nigeria in droves, does it not also beg to reason that the US and Europe have a student population who are largely disinterested in medical practice?

Or why is it that the US cannot train enough medical personnel in their universities to meet the healthcare need of her populace?

Lots of Nigerian doctors (and other nationals) work in private hospitals in the UK.
And those who pursue residency training are even encouraged to do so.

It's a personal choice for anyone to specialise in any field.
