When did it becomes the duty of army to control traffic. This country is not working. This country is just getting worst everyday
No sane country will make use of it's soldiers to be controlling traffic.

Soldier was wrong.

Slowing down to buy gala may not also go down well with other road users who may be slowed down as a result of your gala buying episode.

learn to understand explanations: they already bought gala before the soldier ask him move fast, even if he buy gala that doesn’t warrant the soldier smashing his windscreen Nigeria is too lawless and the judiciary system encouraged impunity that’s why nothing can ever get better here, if the soldier find him wrong they should have make an arrest and handed him over to the police rather than smashing his windscreen

You have the gut to challenge a military official wielding a gun...

You saw them stationed ahead of you but still indulged your passenger the flimsy frivolity of purchasing common gala on the highway at the expense of the convenience of hundreds of vehicles behind you...

You know how much these soldiers suffer under the administration of Nigeria's depraved military yet you still had the effrontery to come out of your car and confront them...

You thereafter summoned the rude gut, the asinine audacity to bring out your phone and capture these soldiers in the course of the administration of their duty...

And still came on social media to feed your hungry ego with a conqueror's narrative over the Nigerian army...

Your cranium seriously requires the examination of a bullet from the gun of one of those Nigerian soldiers.

Thank you o, help me tell him. Na small thing like that dey cause holdup from Ikeja Along to Arena.

Using his excuse, danfo drivers can also say they just slowed down a little to drop/pick passengers. The soldiers were lenient jare, he should try it any day Navy guys are controlling traffic at Iyana-Ipaja roundabout cos they were sent ahead of their staff bus to clear road... Th go panel beat am wella

If lastma had arrested him for disrupting traffic and fined him, he'll have still come to complain on social media... Nonsense

A cab driver has taken to the social media platform to narrate how he boldly confronted a soldier, who smashed his car windscreen in Lagos

According to the cab driver identified as Faithful Olatunde, he claimed that he was driving from Muritala Mohammed International Airport Lagos.

He then came upon a traffic on the bridge towards Lagos State University Teaching Hospital, LASUTH when he saw 2 soldiers directing traffic.

He narrated how his passenger wanted to buy gala which made him slow his vehicle down. This did not go down well with the Army officer who ordered the cab driver to move fast and when the vehicle got to the point of the officer, he smashed the car windscreen.

Faithful revealed how he had to park his car and started confronting the Army officer. Meanwhile, the cab driver revealed that he was being threatened and punished unnecessarily by the military man.

The fool doesn't know that buying stuff in traffic is even an offence.

Those soldiers are the ones restoring sanity to that road, if not for them, it would have been impassable.

Which road are we talking about here?

Are Nigerians themselves sane? The sane country you talk about have sane citizens who will not be obstructing traffic simply to buy gala. Who does that? The soldier is also wrong in damaging the vehicle, he should have simply allow applicable laws to take effect. And for your information, if not because of the soldiers on that axis of Ikeja, nobody will be reaching home after work because of the insane people doing insane things like stopping to buy gala.

infact i don't know how to address your stewpidity, mere because someone that is not useful, a nonentity for that matter is wearing army uniform has free license to assault civilians that pay his livelihood through his painful deducted taxes. Infact law must be made, any person in military or police uniforms that engages civilians in fight/assault must be sacked and thrown out of the service immediately.

It seems most of you guys usually failed to know the role of the military in society building. The military could be called upon to fill any role when you have a failure in that department. If your traffic warden and other similar agencies had done their jobs with passion and professionally soldiers wouldn't have been drafted there in the first place. Soldiers won't just come out to start controlling traffic without a request in their high command. Soldiers are trained to manage and control traffic if you don't know. You should know that for you to see soldiers performing the role of a civil agency there's a breach somewhere and strict compliance is expected. Next time he won't stop to buy stuffs at traffic when soldiers are controlling the traffic.
so because soldier is controlling traffic, a passenger cant buy snack?
