Ok. But why are yorubas forming alliance with the same people that murdered their king and people, and even took away their land? I don't understand please.

And who told you that all yorubas belong to APC?

If APC is Yoruba/Hausa/Fulani party, what's Umahi, Akpabio, Okorocha, uzodinma, et al doing in APC?

Considering the number of southeast politicians in APC, I can as well ask you why are igbos forming alliance with the same people that murdered and are still murdering their people during the 1966 progrom and 2021?

Ok. But how come. Ilorin is no more part of yoruba?

Are you ready for the history?

Is Ilorin the only place that is no longer part of Yoruba? Yoruba lands extends to present day Togo. Yoruba is spoken in present day Kogi. It was political intrigue that led to the loss if Oyo. If the Oyinbos didn't come to Yoruba land at the time they came, I am sure Yorubas would have regained Ilorin. My opinion.

As for Ilorin, the then King was afraid of Afonja and sent him on a suicide mission. Whenever a new king was installed then, he has to show his might by waging war against any named town or person. When the new king was installed, he was asked his enemies so they can be attacked. He said his enemy is too strong for him and they should not worry! That statement was made to ginger them of course. When he was pressed, he said his enemy was the Kakanfo. Now Afonja was a prince and also entitled to be made king. In fact, one of the reasons he was made the Kakanfo to send him away from the capital to reduce his influence. As a Kakanfo can NEVER step into the capital from the time he is made a Kakanfo till he dies. So Afonja was asked to a war he can't win. He was not even told he was going to attack the place. He was taken there and the town pointed to him to attack. He knows if he fails, he will have to commit suicide. He refused to attack the town and went back to Ilorin (his base and the border of the kingdom then) and declared independence. He also killed some soldiers and commanders that were loyal to the King while others fled back to the king. He was was a friend with a Fulani preacher and he asked the preacher to use his influence to get him Fulani soldiers to protect Ilorin against the King's attack that was sure to come. So, using the Fulani, he was able to ratain hold of Ilorin and Ilorin grew in size and importance. Ilorin became a place where everybody is welcome.
However, the Fulani (who were Muslims) hate the Idol worshipping if the Yoruba. One day, the Fulani in Ilorin rose up and attacked the Yoruba without warning. Afonja rallied his troops and fought till he was killed in his court yard. That is how Fulani became rulers of Ilorin. Political intrigue started the process.
When you read Yoruba history, you will see we are all humans. The Yorubas planned and plotted for power and dominance just like the English, the Japanese, the European, the Chinese and others. You will also see political systems designed to protect the king and his kingdom, ensure peaceful succession and other things. We have justice systems before European came . Don't ever believe the black race is backwards, we are not.
For those who say Yorubas are cowards, cowards don't build empires!

Fixed? What are u saying bayi? Isn’t fixing supposed to be a good job?

I think using the word fixed got you confused, Okay lets us Repair, do you mean a bridge built 5years ago doesn't or shouldn't have gone through revamp when we all know nothing last long in Nigeria in terms of construction, and this isn't even a concrete bridge.

Now we are getting somewhere. Instead of repairing why can’t it be rebuilt from scratch. It’s just a short distance.

Since it was still motorable as at 2016, we all know the govt won't do anything till it gets totally damaged, now the road has been in this state for over 1year and the present govt never deem it fit to even do the normal repair they do..

So the current govt should be hold responsible, we are in a democratic rule and we can't keep going back to the past administration to put all blames on them.

Please understand the angle am coming from, not from the angle of ethnicity but from the point where the yoruba leaders have kept quiet over the killings of their people by fulani herdsmen.

They should stand up and complain of all crimes! No tribe should be labelled a criminal. The rich man claimed to have been killed by Fulani in Ibarapa was found to have been killed by Yorubas. Since Igboho was arrested, when was the last time you heard of any crime ascribed to Fulani?!
The Fulani cry in the South was to heat up the polity.

The so-called leaders are politicians. What do you expect from a politician?

However, the politicians are rarely representing the viewpoint of the people. They are representing their selfish viewpoints.
