I don't know if it's many, the scientists have been working on Coronavirus vaccines before last year because there were two earlier outbreaks of the virus belonging to the Coronavirus family but covid19 is a novel virus

Research has already been taking place,there was enough funding and improved technological research on this things hence why the process was fast as well, sometimes when there is enough funding these things can easily be developed.

I don't think majority are scared of the speed of vaccine creation if people were dropping dead everyday as a result of this virus they will take the vaccine even if they heard that it took just one day.
