When we have Boko Haram supporters and financiers in our government and a Pantami that is pro Taliban and pro Alquaeda as minister. Will these ones be happy if Nigeria is winning the war. We cannot win that war as long as government is actively protecting them from prosecution 1 Like 1 Share |

knowhowk:The commercialization of terrorism by the ogas at the top is the only reason why they have not been defeated yet. It's the same old weapons that goodluck regime used to chase bokoharam out of the Nigerian territories they were occupying then in less than a month when they knew it would affect the election. So until the government and the military ogas at the top see the need to expel those terrorists out of our territories forever, they'll keep commercializing it. |

knowhowk:Every fight that is tied to religion rarely die except the people are wiped out, reason being that trying to take the believe away from them is like trying to take their reason for existence away and that is why they are always ready to die because to them, giving up the believe is like subjecting oneself to the state of being the dead among the living. So to overcome the war, there is need for both the gun and words (of conviction) |

They can be defeated. All the guns they are using, the food they are eating, the trucks they are driving costs money. When it comes to finding the sponsors the government isn't interested. Seems like they enjoy being killed by terrorists in that region. |

How can they be defeated when they are being given presidential pardon, and financially compensated for work of destruction well done. It's only compound fool that would believe that they could be defeated under this hopeless, lifeless, dumb government. |

orisa37: It is because of this very politicised notion of yours that made them undefeated. Sometimes I feel sad sharing the same country with someone like you that only listen to foreign media who are only interested in creating problems to save-guard their selfish economic interests through neocolonialism. To think that Buhari is the one behind this Boko Haram that were hitherto constituting menace before the emergence of Buhari himself in power and with the degree of destruction in Buhari's northern zone, then some people brain is not just washed but destroyed and no more. One is forced to think that those making the assertions/accusations are very possibly the perpetuators and sponsors. |

The most important question to ask is this: Is ISWAP and Boko Haram terrorist groups bigger than the Nigeria state? The answer is NO. The truth is that the state actors (talking about the Nigeria Armed Forces and The Police) have what it takes to defeat the enemies within. But, before that can be done, the followings must occur. 1. Dismantle all forces frustrating the efforts of the state actors(they have succeeded in infiltrating almost every dimensions of Nigerias' unifying and strategic sectors). 2. Procure state of the art weaponry. 3. Boost the morale of those fighting the Nigeria cause: Armed Forces personnel. 4. Pay their allowances as at when due and listen to their opinions and complains, etc. 5. Strengthen the Intelligence Units to boost Intelligence Gathering. 6. Punish saboteurs and traitors. 7. Give them periodic trainnings (collaborate with foreign militaries) . . . |

It is difficult to completely whip out Bokoharam and other Jihadist but can be drastically suppressed using Dialogue. the reason why is these guys are Invincible in some way. They are not like Fendi loving (Nnamdi Kanu) and Timberland loving (Ikonso) Ipob Terrorist. these guys don't GAF about show off and honestly not afraid to die coz of their belief of 70 virgins and having a place in aljana. these people fight a kind of hide and seek war and not a face to face fight. they are smart and well organized than Ipob terrorist. they do what they say and say what they do. I live in Thailand where the Muslim southern part bordering Malaysia are agitating for a separate entity since 2004. there have been casualties from time to time even with the sophistication of the Royal Thai Army and Police. a lot have been killed but the country find a way of keeping them at bay from the capital city and other cities. they only occupy one city just like borno and are not allowed to carry out any attacks outside their zones since majority of them in that part share almost the same views or aid them in solo. you would never hear about their activities and Thailand is a relatively peaceful country with lots of tourism. the Media don't overhype them and the citizens rarely talk about it. unless if some security agents are attacked and killed. then the media will post it once to inform the citizenry. |

With the way FG and all Northern states Government are handling this insecurity problem and how they are stylishly sponsoring, supporting, pampering, nurturing their agenda sooner or later this terrorists will take over Aso Rock one day and declear NIGERIA a full sharia state. So therefore, that is the final because in this country we are fucking lazy and afraid to die for our liberty. If we are afraid to come together as one irrespective of our differences in one voice to revolt against this our incompetent, wicked, selfish, greedy and corrupt Nigerian politicians, so how are we going to do that against terrorists now in government in our country. Maybe then, all the religious leaders, traditional rulers and all politicians will automatically accept defeat and surrendered to terrorist in their own country and cover themselves with clothes of shame. It already too late to fight back. The only solution to prevent this from happening is that if all southern governors, all senators all house of representatives, businessmen and all southern traditional Kings and obis must come together on one table and discuss the future of southern Nigeria. Is this how they will be continuing running their Baboon dey work monkey dey chop system of government? They must declared a regionalism government or if they are bold enough let split the country into 4. Let every region establish their own sovereign country. |

The government has refused to proscute the captured insurgent or proscute or name their sponsor even when a foreign country has given their names. The government nepotic and tribalistic stands wont appoint competent hand or deal a blow to the insurgents because they are from certain part of the country. If its from another part operaton snake dance would have wipe BH off the surface of the earth. |

Kdon2: Where did you get that ridiculous idea that the Yorubas are docile? Have you forgotten the roles of Alabi Ishama, Major General Adekunle, Gen. Obasanjo, Awolowo in the Nigerian Civil War? Without them we will still be fighting the war. Or the fulani caliphate incursion into Yoruba territory in the 19th century and how they were defeated by the Ibadan and Oyo Armies. Or the Yoruba NADECO role in defeating army rule in Nigeria. The Yorubas are tough as steel, we are only accommodating in nature because we are highly civilised. 1 Like |

These terrorists seems powerful because the current government is the sponsors of terrorism. Once we have a new government that is not sympathetic to terrorists like this one does, boko haram/iswap/bandits will be wiped out. I still believe that we need state police and regional government with full autonomy. |

knowhowk: The Islamic fundamentalists do not have the burden of tribalism, false divisions and false narratives that keep Nigerians disjointed and disunited, particularly the North and South dichotomy which I think is fake and at at best a British colonial creation. It is likely that these terrorists will overcome Nigeria as soon as the country breaks apart or attempts a radical restructuring. 1 Like |

Isn't it crazy, When we know the enemies but there's nothing we can do about them. Isn't it crazy, When those in powers are power brokers for the enemies and we expect victory so soon. Isn't it crazy, When we have defeated the enemies times without numbers but we're afraid of their ghosts walking pass. Isn't it crazy, We now expect the legion of heaven to fight our battles for us while we go about our normal business. Isn't it crazy, When we're hypocritical to see that we're bunch of hypocrites.. It's crazy out there. So many lives wasted, many more to go. Our armed forces decimated, Our morale is always low... |

The truth is that it will be hard because the fight the kind of Gorilla war which they go into hiding and only strike when need be..... this type of war fare is difficult to defeat.... because the fighters can even be amongst us living normal life while strategizing on when to attack. Also they can go into hiding for years and attack only when they feel it is right and go into hiding.......... take example of USA and Afganistan...... |

It's going to take a very long time There are many similar groups who have been fighting for even longer than Boko Haram the world over. At the end, they would be relegated to being a small criminal group operating on the fringes of the borders of this country. Ten years from now |

In the Muslim dominated North, No. Islam is a breeding ground for terrorism. In the Christian dominated south and middle belt, yes. It can be eradicated completely. |
