The Akwa Ibom Christmas Carols Festival made its debut in the year 2008 when it was then known as the Akwa Ibom Christmas Carol Night. In 2011, the event made global history when it featured an unprecedented 9,999-member choir. That gave the event the epithet, “9999 Carol Night”.

The Akwa Ibom Christmas Carols Festival is an annual non-denominational Christian celebration where thousands of voices are raised in worship to God. This festival brings together a host of worshippers and features a large group of carol singers and some of the best local and international gospel artistes of our time.

This year's edition was held at Ibom Hall Grounds, IBB Avenue, uyo.

Brotherly, I so much enjoyed the Carol event although I was streaming from YouTube.
The elegance and ambience was unique and the spirit was very high from the preachers down to the gospel artists that graced the occasion. It was so lovely.

I think the Akwa Ibom Christmas Carol is becoming an event to be reckoned with as it is beyond beauty and glamour, it brings the faithfuls together to return glory to a faithful God for a successful year.

My thought though is that it should be moved to the 24th of every December so as to make a great Christmas Eve in Akwa Ibom State.

I enjoyed it right from the moment I connect at 8pm to the end although I would also advised that the streaming should not have been aborted after the closing prayer as there were some merriment of praise going on that some of us would have love to see it all till the very last.

I really did fell in love with Udom Emmanuel whom as a christian himself has successfully cautioned this event to one of the best greatest christian gathering in Nigeria a dream championed by his predecessor.

The Akwa Ibom Christmas Carol is also becoming a tourist occasion for all and sundry as both indigenous and foreigners thronged the occasion every year.

My feeling is so high after watching the Akwa Ibom Christmas Carol.

The theme of this year's event was a revelation as every preacher made remarkable the good will of Isaiah 51:11 to give us that our tomorrow is better than our today.

God bless the good people of Akwa Abasi Ibom State and God bless the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
