Edibles20: That's the difference between a company & government. A nice gesture but the days are too much. 12 days of free ride, alot of money lost. |
Re: Yuletide: FG Declares Free Train Rides From December 24 To January 4 by Beedude(m): 10:39am On Dec 24, 2021 |
Edibles20:Why are u always against good things ? It ia good to condemn the govt when needed and appreciate nice gestures when seen. Giving free rides at this time can also help boost sales by letting more people see how good and itch free the rail service is. Some people have never board a train all thru their lives. With this offer, they may start using it after the festive period. The fact that you borrowed money to start a business doesnt mean u cant give discount just to promote same business. Constructive criticism is what we need pls 3 Likes |

Before you happy for this news, note that fg naught be referring to the old train because fg is still owing china that yet to be paid so why will they give free train ride when they they need tones of money to settle debt. Remember old train always take people to osun state at every festive season so therefore it might be the same arrangement. |

Klington:you are part of them. Peter obi is sponsoring ipob in the south east while Atiku is distabilizing the north so that they can get sympathy votes. They are doing everything possible to destroy the good work of Buhari. |

Klington: We have very silly leaders. They took loan to build rails and they are doing saraka. Loans they are still demanding more. 1 Like 1 Share |

This is why government can never run a business successfully. This time of the year has the greatest demand for rail services. This is the time the NRC should be smiling to the bank, but that's the time the dumb FG decides to give free train rides!! Honestly speaking, anyone who cannot afford N1200 train ride from Lagos to Ibadan should just stay in Lagos and not travel. it's not by force. People will say they don't have money to travel, but the place you are going at this time of the year, is it not money you are going to spend there? How do you show up anywhere for Xmas and not spend money? All this is, is cheap publicity for political support, not sound economic decision making. 3 Likes 1 Share |

Beedude: Have I ever interacted with you before? Which one is why am I always against good things? Is something wrong with your father? We are a fuckin broke country. You’ve collected loans from everywhere. You’re still collecting. Small avenue to start paying back, you’re doing freebies and I’m totally against it and you’re here rambling like a mad dog. How many countries do this rubbish? |

Edibles20:The first sensible comment Truth is there is no such thing as "free" transport. Somebody has to pay for the fuel etc. Now is it FG that will do this? Same FG that can't find its budget? I won't be surprised if this is the beginning of the end of the rail transport of PMB admin in Nigeria. And tomorrow we start to hear that the AC is not working again, the chairs are damaged, the windows are bad.. All because money for its maintenance is not forthcoming |

Nice one from FG. Meanwhile Ogbeni Rauf Adesoji Aregbesola the honourable minister for Interior started this during his reign as Governor of the State of Osun. My leader is indeed a Trail-blazer. |

Re: Yuletide: FG Declares Free Train Rides From December 24 To January 4 by kayuseful: 12:30pm On Dec 24, 2021 |
Beedude: Leave that thing my brother If this was a private company talking, I'll believe. But government? We all know it's for political reasons, not anything to do with improving business BTW, They are never short of sales. If they are, it's because their price difference with road transport is too high. they'll reduce this and see massive sales. In fact, this period, they will eventually be cheaper than road because of the way bus drivers are hiking their prices |

Re: Yuletide: FG Declares Free Train Rides From December 24 To January 4 by Beedude(m): 12:48pm On Dec 24, 2021 |
kayuseful:Whichever reason for doing this is left to them. But its better to give out to the people. Some people make use of it this period and benefit thru it. Moreover its not that it will still be the same every Xmas and New year. I have entered free metro train in Dubai in 2013 and 2014 due to Muslim Eid' Fitre festival or so. Let people at least enjoy the benefit of what the govt took loan for. At least it was part of their political achievement, let them use it. At least they are being dragged for security challenges, they should also be praised for this gesture. I once boarded the train from Lag to Ibadan around August this year and it was cool and comfy 1 Like |
