Christistruth00: Oga you are just everywhere and not making sense. I asked how come the british made only Ademulegun, Maimalari and Ironsi brigadiers. Why are you so fixated on Zik and Ironsi so are you saying that it was only Ironsi that Zik rapidly promoted and delayed only Bassey. So Zik now commands the army or controls the army right have you forgotten with the advent of prime minister that Zik's post was ceremonial and that he had no control over anything? Oga this attempt at spreading hate is not ideal and you are only making a fool of yourself. The list you keep parading is already clear to all and no one is saying Ironsi was the first Nigerian to join the army that is a lie, but as at 1964 Ironsi was the most senior by rank that as the GOC of the army |

obynzo: It was the Nigerian Govt of Which Azikiwe was a part that made them Brigadiers In 1964 not the British And Azikiwe didn't care that Bassey of his own Eastern Region was left out When the British left it was Bassey that was the most Senior Army Officer The remaining British Officers were in the Army in Contract and only offered Technical advice If the British Officers offered Technical advice that Wellington Bassey be made a Brigadier and the Balewa/Azikiwe Coalition Government decided to Ignore their advice as they often did the British Officers who were Technical advisers to the Nigerian Army could do nothing 2 Likes |

Christistruth00: Another lie from you. The British made Ironsi, Ademulegun and Maimalari Brigadiers because they wanted Nigerians to fill senior positions that were vacated by the British as they were preparing to handover in 1965 Oga you are just repeating everything like a broken record. You have no talk and as such your lie is being busted. My advice to you go and get some job and busy yourself this game has failed and is DOA |

christistruth01: The British army fully handed over to Nigerians in 1964 stop lying through your teeth. The independence was for self governance in Nigeria in 1960 |
Re: Unanswered Questions On Ironsi And The Regional System. by christistruth01: 4:04pm On Jan 25, 2022 |
obynzo: No sir It was Gen Welby Everard who handed over as a British Technical Officer who was Nigerian Army head to Ironsi in 1965 and Ironsi took over Power within one Year The Army was the Nigerian Army from the 1st of October 1960 The Nigerian Ministry of Defense Ribadu was still directly in Charge of the Nigerian Army and Azikiwe certainly had his ear It was Ribadu that sent Ironsi on Training to England before he was Promoted to Army head and for your information Ironsi Performed so woefully on the Course that Lord Mountbatten on behalf of the British Personally wrote the Nigerian Government and advised against Ironsi being made the head of the Nigerian Army The letter is in the British Archives and you can get a Copy if you order over the internet 1 Like |

Don't you find it annoying how Wellington Duke Umoh Bassey Of Calabar And his Army Career were almost destroyed to make way for his junior Officer Gen Ironsi to Emerge as the Head of Army Azikiwe was supposed to have been fighting for all of Bassey's delayed Promotions since Bassey was from Calabar in Azikiwe's Eastern Region To add insult to injury they tried to eliminate Bassey during the Jan 1966 Coup Ironsi Got to Power again only to make Ojukwu who was 11 years Basseys Junior Officer the Governor of the Eastern Region But to be honest Azikiwe complained to Ironsi about that one Just look at what Azikiwe wrote in his book " Origins of the Nigerian Civil War " on pages 1 and 2 admitting that Gen Ironsi had played the Tribalism Card on Wellington Bassey to make Ojukwu who was 11 years his Junior Officer the Governor of the Eastern Region

christistruth01: You are a bigger liar. Ironsi didn't go for any professional course since 1961 Ironsi was Military attachee Nigerian high commission London from 1962 he was made commander UN forces in the Congo he held that position until 1964 when he came back. Ribadu never sent him on any course oga do you think we don't know history here. Again Zik's position is rather ceremonial the person that had Ribadu's ear was Balewa his boss. Oga we know our history you cannot be twisting it to incite hatred against the igbo |
Re: Unanswered Questions On Ironsi And The Regional System. by christistruth01: 4:47pm On Jan 25, 2022 |
obynzo: Liar, Which year did Ironsi finish the Imperial Defence College Training in the UK if it was not in 1964 Sorry that means you have no idea about the Courses and Trainings Ironsi attended And where did Azikiwe who was Wellington Bassey's Eastern Regions Political Leader abandon Bassey -------in a Captains posting at Zaria Depot training Recruits Do you see how Scandalous it all is Azikiwe should have just gone out of his way to Win Bassey over to his side instead of persecuting him and frustrating his Army Career 1 Like

christistruth01: Ahhhh you are the biggest liar that ever lived which one is imperial defence college or are you referring to Imperial college where civillians like us go to do Bsc and Msc? Oga you don't even know how to lie self. Again there are two military colleges in the UK. Royal Military Academy Sandhurst and Mons Officers Cadet School Aldershot where Obasanjo, Ifeajuna and Co were Alumni. Ohhhh my God you are so hilarious in your attempt to spread lies to an extent i believe you may be suffering from mental schizophrenia or you are just a deranged person. |

obynzo: I am replying you for the sake of Nigerians that want to learn real History Imperial Defence College was attended by Senior Officers from all over the British Commonwealth Ironsi attended it in 1964 and on his return was promoted to a Brigadier Your resorting to Insults is a sign of Victory because the True Facts have beaten you hands down No matter what God's Truth and Justice must Prevail over lies and Propaganda

christistruth01: You say he was inept so how come an inept person went on to command UN troops in Congo? |
Re: Unanswered Questions On Ironsi And The Regional System. by Nobody: 5:34pm On Jan 25, 2022 |
christistruth01: Pump up your brakes bro stop trying to sound smart here . There is no Imperial defence college Ironsi could not have been in Royal college of defence studies when he left in 1961 as defence attachee in Nigerian high commision and went straight to command UN troops in Congo. Now if say he went as you erroneously put, how come someone who failed woefully was considered by the UN worthy to command troops in Congo? |

Christistruth00: Dude you are really confirmed my earlier postulations that you are a very dense fellow. I stated in my comments in earlier posts that Everald stated that Ironsi never held batallion command posts because he was always never in the country. That was because of his role as UN commander. Oga you are not proving anything Zik never played any favoritism in Ironsi's appointment and the table of army command which you put to butress your point still makes no sense. because Ironsi was appointed Army GOC in 1965 and the table you put shows 1966 Oga your attempt at inciting igbo hatred is failing, dude go and get busy with something else and stop accwpting money from paid mischievous politicians. |

Christistruth00: Why are you so dense and daft. Ironsi rose through the ranks isn't it not what we said. Even at that his promotion and rise was not as rapid as people who became officers straight like Maimalari and Ojukwu who was a graduate and went straight to officers corps |

obynzo: obynzo: The fact you are full of Bitterness and Hate doesn’t mean everybody is like you. This is a History Thread and it is about the actions of Gen Ironsi History is based on Truthful facts and not lying Propaganda The History here will increase the Understanding of all Nigerians no matter where they come from and help them to see better the evils of Tribalism and why brotherly love is it’s cure. Let me Politely remind you that every Single Nigerian Brigadier in the Nigerian Army including Gen Ironsi were all Wellington Bassey’s Juniors Gowon only gave Wellington Bassey his very overdue Promotion to Brigadier Remember that Gen Ironsi who was Bassey’s Junior was already a Major General by the time he was killed |
Re: Unanswered Questions On Ironsi And The Regional System. by Nobody: 1:11pm On Jan 26, 2022 |
Christistruth00: Oga why are you projecting your bitterness on me? you are the one busy blaming Zik and Ironsi for delaying Wellington Bassey's promotion forgetting that it was the British high command that delayed his promotion because he lacked the drive to move ahead compared to his contemporaries like Ironsi and Ademulegun and again after the British left the control of the army was in the hands of the prime minister Balewa and the defence minister Ribadu so how was it Zik's fault? Did Wellington Bassey send a protest to Zik to look into his case? if he did where is the documented protest letter? i doubt if he had it. Now let me warn you if you continue with this i promise you i will send this screenshot to DSS and they will begin to track you for hate speech this nonsense has to stop. |

Bros if you don have an answer to this then i will tag this as incitement. whatever you are saying should not be a subtle incitement of hatred against a tribe that is what you are doing and the next incitement from you will warrant a response that you will not like |
