Location of the 549 plots? Don't think they'd accept epe or ibeju. Shangisha is super hot and highly lucrative. In my opinion, they should do valuation of each plot of land as at when they bought it to reflect the current value and ask the residents to pay the land owners a percentage in line with the current value of each of those plots. Case closed

If I were part of the landlords, any resolution that would amount to us to having the 549 plots at Magodo estate would but another location would come with monetary compensation running into hundreds of millions if not billions of naira.

It will deter future governors anywhere in Nigeria from such executive rascality.

If I was part of the landlords, I will quickly collect the land if it is Ibeju Lekki. Once Dangote refinery starts operation, the value of that area will increase multiple times. It will surely overtake magodo in the nearest future

Do you know where dangote cement plant is? Did it increase land value around where it's located?

They are just using that refinery to lure people to that place to occupy it but trust me, it won't develop more than the way it is cuz that place is Far

And people won't want to be close to refinery cause of pollution and others.

I will remind you of this comment in 15yrs, you will see that, the place won't have much occupants compare to other places.

I’ve been trying to find out who was Governor when this happened.

This is one of the many things I love about Sanwo Olu, conflict resolution shouldn't be by force, with guns or overbearing influences.

All the gra gra, police presence and guns stopped and ended at the resolution table.

The police and their errand boys can now enter bus and return to their masters in Abuja, Lagosians don settle their issues peacefully without any breakdown of law and order, this is the Lagos and Yoruba way that I so much love and cherish.

Anyway, Shangisha was more like a village when it was demolished by Mudashiru in 1984. Raji Rasaki did the same thing in Maroko. The area now known as Lekki phase1 was a shanty village that was demolished and reallocated to rich elites in 1990.

Lol. You’re the one getting things mixed up. The owners of the houses are called Magodo residents and not Shangisha land owners. Those displaced originally are the land owners and they will be allocated 549 plots of land as directed by the court. Magodo house owners are going nowhere.

It's not the landlords that obtained the Supreme Court judgement, it's the landowners. This has been the Supreme Court order since 2014. The land lords have to now carry their houses to the plot the Lagos State Government will give them or have their houses demolished.

Sangisha landlords are original owners , Magodo Resident Association are the ones who own those houses
