Igbos love the north to produce the president forever, the tribe they don't want is Yoruba. This is how it has been since the time of Awolowo, Abiola and now Tinubu. It's just that most Yoruba have short memories.

They will rather hide behind their fulani masters.

Truth!

Igbos disrespect and take Yoruba for granted but bow and are terrified of the north. They know the north doesn't care about what they say and do. Eni a le mu la nle di mo!

The picture speaks na..... They will vote their Atiku again.... Well, u can't blame PDP sha, their joker is to field a Northerner to counter APC, knowing fully well the APC ticket will go South.

It's left for APC to field a strong Northerner as Vice.....I expect PDP to field a South Easterner as vice, if they want to compensate the SW...

doing the above will however give APC an edge.
Am sorry but you don't know the Northerners
1)The will vote Atiku if APC produces a southern candidate that VP card will never work
2)Easterners are seriously looking for a way to disintegrate Nigeria...voting a northern candidate will stir problem and vooom the country is on fire....
3) Northerners as they said are born to rule.... population wise they have it...nobody will stand them expect we regionalize or we rotate it among six geo zone and it will be back by the constitution......if not we are all on a long ride....You think they where happy about GEJ...lolzz wake up...

North Buhari narrowly win....If Atiku is contesting forget riit....we have a new Northern president...I won't like it but no Southerner Igbo included stand a chance....the north will deliver him.... expect APC fills another northern candidate.....

PDP ruling Nigeria again, is like going back to Egypt. Both PDP and the ruling party are all in the same level. What Nigeria needs mostly now is total restructuring.
Unfortunately this has to be done by president, which can only come from either of the 2 as no other party has the structure to march them

Backing someone from the South East is a complete waste of franchise, even Governor Ortom as useless will defeat any eastern candidate.

Not the President, he did not say anything because APC’s next President is coming from the South West (Christian).

Northern Nigeria has literally taken the presidency for 2023. Go and continue with your Ewedu and Gbegiri food.

Atiku will set Igbos back 24 years. Yoruba 8 years starting 2023 whether you like it or not. 8 years for the north and the remaining 4 years of the Southsouth. Then back to the north again for 4 years before southeast if anything at all. Igbos will NOT have the president seat again until 2047 since their son Obasanjo ended his 8 years in 2007.
maestroferddi:
Stupid question...

Let Atiku go instead of the South West getting two terms or chances when the South East is yet to get one...

In any case, the North East, where Atiku hails from, is yet to get her turn.

As much as the Igbos want the presidency, it will not be the end of the world if Atiku becomes president when from all probability, the Igbo candidate will serve after he is through.

The Tinubu arrangement will mean that the Igbos will have to wait for another 16 years before dreaming of the presidency...

We shall not allow that to happen...

PDP has fallen in lust with Atiku's money; they have shown they can never be trusted with power. Even if they win with or without Atiku, it is back to retrogression.

And you think people from these states are foolish like you and Atiku? Yoruba man will win all those states infact Edo and Delta are Yorubalands with OBAs and OLU forget it Atiku will be defeated in all South South states and even in South East.

2023 Presidency is for Yorubas and Yorubas alone the best PDP can do is to field a Yoruba candidate to counter APC nobody from the North or East can steal our birthright in 2023 including Atiku, Obi, and entire Igbos, you never worked for president.

The North ruled 10yrs Buhari + Yaradua
The East ruled 6yrs Azikiwe Goodluck Ebele
The West is Next to rule and no Jupiter no conspiracy between Atiku and Igbos and Wike can stop the Yorubas rather Yorubas will continue to Win more power because Yorubas are loved by the North, Middle Belt and Niger Delta. JAGABAN 2023 Bring on Atiku and his Igbo toothless Igbo voters will all fail for the Sixth time Hahahahaha

I can understand the game plan of PDP. They are very desperate to take over power from APC. From every indication, APC is going South, PDP will go north. And with that, it is game over for APC because PDP will defeat them base on the hand writings on the wall.

Yes, the Igbos have stuck with the PDP since inception. They have remained loyal to PDP much more than any tribe or region. If they demand the ticket as a compensation for their loyalty, they are not demanding too much at all. But at THIS point in time, if PDP decides to field an Igbo man now just to please the igbos, they will lose based on obvious political calculations.

The best bet for PDP and the easiest route for an Igbo man to be President is to allow someone like Atiku to pick the ticket while an Igbo man will serve as his VIce. Upon completion of his 8 years tenure, his vice, an Igbo man can then aspire to be President.

The most important thing is to snatch power from APC by all means possible now. My submission.

This your analysis is self refuting. What guarantee is there, that APC would not play the same card PDP is playing, if the hypothetical "Igbo man" who served as vice decides to run for president under PDP?

So long politics remains a game of numbers, the North would Always have the upper hand, hence It is common sense that both parties would be tempted to zone their party presidential ticket to the North whenever the other zones its ticket to the South.

My humble advice as a Northerner, is that the South (particularly SE & SW) need to get their shit together in both parties, ensuring their parties zoning are in synch, else they'll both be at the loosing end, more so for SE which is already heavily invested in PDP. Rather than blaming the SW whom are reaping the fruits of their investment in APC , the Onus is on SE to have PDP zone its ticket to the region, else an Igbo man would never win a presidential ticket in our lifetime.

Just because you want to slight yorubas, and because of the chance of an Ibo becoming vp to the northern candidate, you're here selling your birthright again to the north.

Have you not learnt anything since 1960?

The north knows how to divide the south because they are more united and they give birth anyhow, thus having a population advantage.

Meanwhile, their end goal is to colonize the whole of Nigeria and make it the hometown of all fulani in west Africa.

They will win election and keep using the resources of the south to develop the north and strengthen their hold on power till they achieve their goal.

Please, open your eyes. Think long term. Support the break up of Nigeria so this people don't overrun the country with their barbaric and islamic ways.

Let them have their own president in the north. Yorubas should have their own president and ibos should have their own president.

I don't want to live in a country ruled by any northern, yoruba or ibo president. The three of them are very greedy and selfish but the north own is very dangerous due to their religious fanaticism and barbaric ways of killing.

Let's be wise please
You are not serious, are you?

Which useless birthright are you talking about?

Everybody in Nigeria, including Yorubas with conscience knows it is the turn of the Igbos to produce the president but greed, wickedness and blind lust for power has overtaken some Yoruba politicians who, obviously, do not mean well for this country.

This undesirable elements are determined to perpetuate the dichotomy between the Igbos and the Yorubas for ever.

The powerbrokers in the north are clearly using the Yorubas but they are too consumed by political irredentism to see it.

Even a fool can feel the unbendability of the will of an Igboman...

We don't run away from conflict if we must prove a point..

Osibanjo and Tinubu were shouting restructuring when they were in opposition. They are now the same people asking Nigerians what they mean by restructuring!

Stop lying. Osinbajo and Tinubu still support restructuring as they always have.

In fact Tinubu's leadership of Lagos, and the policies favored by his successors, show Lagos is the main State in Nigeria that has consistently used the essence of restructuring to operate.

Look at RRS for example. A big success in the security mix keeping Lagos relatively safe. What do you think that is ?

That Lagos seeks to bypass the FG at every oppotunity to to do everything independently to solve problem of the State , leveraging on personal strength and innate endowment, is the very essence of resteucturing.

https://rrslagos.gov.ng/who-we-are/

What today has blossomed into the ubiquitous Rapid Response Squad, a unit of the Lagos State Police Command started out as “Operation Sweep”, a joint Army, Navy, Air Force cum Police crack teams to combat the then growing rate of crime in the metropolis during the administration of Col. Buba Marwa.

RRS in this period didn’t have much teeth to bite and fight until the administration of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu came on board.
The administration in repositioning and adding bite to the force re-christened it rapid response squad.
The administration allowed the Nigerian Police to assume total responsibility of the services of RRS in order to reflect new democratic dispensation at that time.

Building on the strides of his predecessor, Governor Babatund Raji Fashola injected public- private partnership by setting up a committee headed by the former inspector General of Police Musiliu Smith to look into ways of bringing the private sector into security.

Part of the items contained in the committee report, which was subsequently passed by the Lagos State House of Assembly was the creation of Lagos State Security Trust Fund, security committee and an Executive Secretary to coordinate its affairs.

Thereafter, the launching of Lagos State Security Trust Fund at the civic centre Lagos resulted into generation of over N2 billion, a donation largely from the private sector.

Opening up RRS for public-corporate funding generated widespread participation in corporate funding of security. This has been the focus of the present administration headed by His Excellency, Mr. Akinwunmi Ambode. Perhaps, stemming from the fact that, manning the city and the state is the very first step to developing it, and that there cannot be genuine development without commensurable investment in security.

So Umahi's case is now the case of monkey dey work, baboon dey chop. PDP worked, APC dey claim glory. For ur information, nobody hates Umahi but people hate where he is. Umahi has done so much for Ebonyi people in terms of infrastructure. But he is with the wrong people. An achiever like him should have nothing to do with APC. From Federal to State, Apc has failed Nigerians and you know it.

I don't know what promise they made to him before taking that wrong decision. Only by the Divine intervention will he emerge as APC presidential flag bearer. If not that what else.

His people love him but they don't love where he is. And they can never go with him. His people have pure hatred for anything associated with APC. If APC think that because of Umahi, they will win Ebonyi state in the general elections, they are in for a shocker.

Get your facts right.. Pdp didn't work, rather umahi did. Was there no pdp governor b4 umahi? Were are his achievements? So PDP is we're he should be ba? Such a party that failed for 16years. There is no way pdp can be considered better than apc to sane minds.. Really because if u want to compare u don't compare randomly u compare with what the started and if we do that Jonathan government is the worst since 1999 if u don't know know it now.

Now to hating apc and loving umahi. Again you people are funny. I say it everyday our people are not wise. You hate apc but u want apc presidential ticket, u hate apc u want their appointment.. U r very funny but Sha everything in life is choice. One can decide to stay the way u people are it doesn't change anything. You were like that thinking u will stop Buhari today he is about to complete 8 years. Continue hating while things will still be happening whether u hat or not.
