Omooba77: UAE a muslim country just changed it's weekend from Friday/Saturday to Saturday/Sunday to be more in tune with international business days to increase their wealth. Meanwhile Muslims in Nigeria who need to build wealth more than Emiratis want to further isolate themselves by asking for additional days to do nothing 4 Likes 1 Share |

This man is very irritating and annoying. The so called new years is not a Christian holiday. Say Christians decided to accept and celebrate it doesn't mean it originates from Christendom. Christians were earlier using the Jewish new year which is 1st April but with the invention of the Gregorian calendar which was confirmed to be accurate by governments, Christians (the early Roman Catholic church) in obeying the government of the day, accepted it except for the Jews who still continued with the April 1st till this day and were touted by the government of the day as fools hence the popular slogan "April fool" being acted on every April 1st. Christians in every year has only 2 holidays - Christmas and Easter. But we cannot count how many numerous holidays the muslims have and celebrate every year. They are too many. This last Christmas and New Year holidays, the buhari and his fellow lost souls decided not to pay workers their salaries bcs he wants to punish Christians and make them suffer not enjoying and celebrating with their loved ones. Not even any welfare package shared. But in every islamic holidays, welfare packages are always shared in excess to muslim celebrants in particular as they head and dominate everywhere. This agent of evil mumuric lost soul heading for doom, in his hypocrisy will not see all these at all. Instead he's interested in forcing more nuisance, division and systematically trying to force his islam on the throat of everyone. His disgusting hypocrisy is second to none. Only time will tell the judgment the almighty in heaven has for this evil man. 11 Likes |

Prof. Akintola have spoken well on behalf of Muslims Ummah. Government needs to do the needful with all fairness. First of Muharram also needs to be recognised and declare as public holiday in order to be just to the Muslims. 1 Like 2 Shares |

All holidays based on religions should be banned. Annual leave, school holidays, national holidays and work free days on Saturdays and Sundays are the only appropriate days. Anything else based on religion should not be public holidays. 3 Likes |

If only this man can understand that even catholic church calendar does not start on January but somewhere in between last week in November and first week in December. Will the catholics also demand for holiday on the 1st day of their liturgical calendar? Someone should educate this illiterate that gregorian calendar is an official calendar and not a Christian liturgical calendar. Some Christian denominations no even dey celebrate new year self. 3 Likes 1 Share |
