It's obvious that compared to before, marriages don't last... Before now, our grandparents actually fulfilled the "till death do us path" vow, but it's not so now...

Before now our grandparents got married and STAYED married, but that's not the case now is it??

It is on this premise that that lady asked that question, and as such rather than say that question is stupid..
