Both are correct, even South Africa are calling it "Garage" , also Australia call it "service station"..

I prefer Gas Station.

I want to know if it is filling or fueling station because this argument has wrecked a relationship I have with somebody and my girlfriend.

gas station (US), filling/petrol station (UK). I quick search on Wikipedia or Google would have still kept your relationship.

America gas station. Britain petrol station same as Nigeria until Nigerians started saying filling station.

But the generally accepted name is filling station.

Other names are Petrol station(UK), Gas station (USA). Even fuel station is more acceptable than fueling station. But fueling station is also correct only that it is not a generally acceptable term!

You are correct. Though na British English we dey yarn for Naija, so normal normal, we suppose follow filling station.

Both are correct but I prefer to call it FILLING station bacause I am going there to fill up either fuel,diesel,Kero or oil.
