Below are the new 15 count charges brought against IPOB leader, Nnamdi Kanu, published on his Lawyers Facebook page. 14 of out the 15 charges are all about what he said on Radio Biafra in London The only charge that is not broadcast related is that Nnamdi Kanu imported a Radio transmitter into the country, something that is not even a crime. Im no Lawyer but I find it laughable that we are in a country where communities are being invaded by armed bandits, people being slaughtered, women being raped and people being displaced into IDP camps And the government goes to court to say that utterances on a Radio station in London is terrorism? They could not charge Kanu with one single action, all they could do is charge him for utterances made on a Radio station in another country? Do they realise that terrorism must be an action and not mere spoken words alone? Im disappointed that these stupid charges is what the government could come up with. Kanu is already a free man, the charges are baseless

chiagozien: Its truly embarrassing. Nigeria is going through a lot of security challenges, over 200 people killed in Zamfara few days ago. Hundreds of people are being killed week in, week out. And the Federal government goes all the way to Kenya to kidnap Kanu only to charge him for utterances made on a London based Radio Station? The government reduced terrorism to was said on a Radio Station? Terrible |
