I have a golf 5, 2006 for sell. I used it for uber but got tired of driving into bushes (pickup and drop off) the fuel economy is mad, I sometimes use 1,000 fuel 6L to rake in 6-8k. Ac chilling in facts its buy and drive. If I get someone to make returns I will consider, I no do hire purchase. I'm now into large scale farming I no need 3 cars... Contact me for pics its in abuja.
Its 900 for outright buy, 75k monthly returns.

adonainana: Yes you can get a V4 Honda Accord 2006 Nigerian used for that price for 800,000 naira
So far it’s V4, it’s good for Uber as it doesn’t consume fuel like the V6 model
If you find an Honda Civic too, 2004 model upward it will do the job
As funny as it sounds a Honda Civic consumes less fuel than corrola or Camry or any totyota product, I have used both
Now back to the naysayers who will try and discourage you about your budget, it’s what you have that you will use to get what you need
Someone who probably doesn’t have a car yet is already talking about visiting a mechanic everyday now let me explain to you how these things work
A cars engine made up of piston, crank shaft etc works on wear and tear to be specific , imagine iron rods rubbing themselves inside engine oil to fire out combustion almsost everyday and as long as the engine is ignited and running
This is why the longer the millage of a car the weaker the engine is and vice versa
A brand new car not tokunbo car ooo ( a brand new car from the factory does not make any noise engine wise, reason because it’s engine is still completely new )
The reason why I am explaining this to you is to try and make you link how many kilometers a car has run to how weak or less effective or still sound the engine is
Even generator engines work on the same principle, I have been using the same generator for 3 years, but every 4 months or so we buy an HALF ENGINE and the generator is turned on everyday day
Wear and tear over a long time is what weakens engines of cars or anything made of up a mechanics systems
So going back to your budget of 800k for Eod Homda acconrd 2006 , you will get one for that price and surprise surprise all you have to do is to use your mechanic to gauge well how many months or years the engine still has left
Once the engine is still very sound, you are good to use it every day to transport people
Pls don’t listen to people trying to discourage you
Pls go to any motor park and check out the buses that transport people from lagos to Ibadan every day . One 1998 sienna took me from osun state to Abuja one time I couldn’t believe that type of van could be on the road for 14 hours to Abuja without spoiling on the road
Go to nurtw parks and see buses and vans being used for inter State transport and you will be shocked as to thier external state meanwhile it’s thier engine that still makes them going strong
Also a car engine never dies, only the OGs and the legends in the game know what to do when your car engine is giving you problems
So OP go and buy your car and start making money from it today and succeed like those before you
Good day If comments usually rank per day on Nairaland, your comments deserve the best comments of the day. If I am to judge who you are by this comment, you are the type one needs to move closer to and I wouldn't mind your number sir. 19 Likes 2 Shares |

Tzar: Don’t buy any car higher than a 1.8L engine capacity. The lower the engine the better for you sef. The bigger the engine the higher the fuel consumption. And your highest running cost is fuel. NEVER BUY A V6 ENGINE (3.0L & above engine) FOR UBER/BOLT! Accord is a 2.0 /2.4L /3.0L engine so don’t go there!
Don’t forget, you need the AC running in top shape ( AC increases fuel consumption) and your price for parts must be low. Factors to consider for the car: 1. Price of initial purchase 2. Condition of engine, gear, body rust, AC & tyres / suspension 3. Size of engine 4 Cheap & available replacement parts. 5. Never buy a car without scanning the engine and GEAR 1st. Invest in a good scanner that can scan both. It cost fron 60k & above.
These cars a great for Uber/Bolt.
1. Kia Rio or Hyundai Accent. They are the same car. 1.4L & 1.6L PRO- they have the best fuel economy I know of. AC & suspension is also very good. Very good to buy as naija used but expensive as tokubo, CON- One of the most expensive replacement parts.
2. Toyota Corolla- 1.6L, 1.8L PRO- available parts. Good fuel economy. Very good AC, good suspension & strong engine. Every mechanic can fix it. Very good leg room for riders. CON- very OVERPRICED (extremely expensive to buys as tokunbo or naija used). Parts are available, but very expensive.
3. Toyota Yaris 1.5L PRO- Excellent fuel economy. Very good AC, suspension & strong engine. Every mechanic can fix it CON- very OVERPRICED (extremely expensive to buys as tokunbo or naija used). Parts are NOT available & very expensive.
Honda City- 1.5L PRO- Excellent fuel economy. Very good AC, Excellent suspension (the ONLY HONDA with good suspension) & strong engine. Parts are very cheap at Oyingbo in Lagos, but expensive everywhere else. CON- very OVERPRICED (extremely expensive to buys as tokunbo but cheap as naija used). Better to use a HONDA specialist as mechanic.
Honda Civic 1.8L , 2.0L Avoid the 2.0L PRO- Excellent fuel economy. Very good AC, strong engine. Parts are very cheap at Oyingbo in Lagos, but expensive everywhere else. Very good leg room for riders. CON- Bad suspension. Better to use a HONDA specialist as mechanic. The 1.8L engine is rare in automatic gear but available as manual.
Kia Picanto 1.1L PRO- The BEST fuel economy I know of. AC & suspension is also very good. Very good to buy as naija used but expensive as tokubo, CON- One of the most expensive replacement parts. No space for luggage. Riders don’t like the compact seating.
This is a guide @op. To the best of my knowledge, you are about 80% on point. However, on Honda Civic 1.8L engine, they come mostly with automatic transmission and NOT manual. I would also add Honda Civic 1.7L to the list(Honda Civic 2004-2005) 5 Likes 1 Share |

04/05 honda city or honda civic for your budget. Peugeot is good too like 406 with ew10j4 or any 307 if you have a good Peugeot specialist available near you and if u don't live in water prone areas |

Firstly,ur budget is on the low side. U can get a car for that price actually but, consider urself a customer to a mecho.
Secondly, Toyota Corolla is over hype. Primary and consistent fault are the legs. Are often will u be prepared to be changing the absorbers, shocks and the arms.
Thirdly, Corolla is the most stolen car in Nigeria as at today. I guess u wouldn't want to buy a car that would be stolen shortly afterwards. That is if u aren't killed or injured when it's been stolen.
Advise: go for honda civic or Nissan Ultima. Also, ensure u buy direct tokunbo. There is nothing called naija used( naija used cars go naked ur account finish) 8 Likes 1 Share |

Candid advice is get an Hyundai accent 2007/2008, or get same year of Kia Rio. These 2 cars are durable and has fuel economy. With a fuel of 2k, u can make up to 16k during surge and btw 8-10k on normal days. Check jiji, u will get the car btw 700k and 800k. Thank me later.. |
