This position of a president shouldn’t be about age, it should be based on quality experience, back grounds from all works of life, etc.
Not just some who wants to become president just for the purpose of been called president.

A great leader that will continue to move our darling nation forward after our darling Daddy leaves.
And a great leader we shall vote.
God bless Nigeria and all good, sane, honest and hardworking Nigerians.

Lol cheesy

As seen somewhere in our darling Umuahia.....
it will hurt this one more than it will hurt Tinubu if apc loses 2023 Presidential election, source of funding will vanish.

As good as the advice was, it is not for the masses but he should send it to PDP and APC leadership.
Nigerians will only vote whoever they presented to us so they can help us by not bringing any of those aforementioned candidates even right from their parties primary.
Re: 2023: Don’t Elect People Above 70 As President – Makinde Tells Nigerians by oluwafeolami(m): 7:04am On Jan 26, 2022
Mynd44:
Shouldn't he be telling party members who will vote at the primaries this? Seeing as Nigerians can only vote those presented by the parties.

Tell the party delegates not to vote for them and maybe the parties will present 54 year old candidates

The party members are not blind or deaf too. He was addressing Nigerians which I’m sure party delegates too are also part.

Una go sha like to show una selves say una sabi talk. Without telling them, don’t they know they have to present a young and vibrant candidate? Now he said it and u are still telling him to tell d party members first. Nigerians and oversabi smh

Meanwhile.........
Posterity will judge us all.... ASAP!
brilliant post, now lists electricity power stations under the current, refineries under this current government.

PDP was a failure and APC extended that failure.

We are seeing coups across West Africa ...is Nigeria next

A foolish youth won't want recruitment age of white collar job to be put at 25 years of age, because he is a dullard who failed jamb too many times

But same foolish youth won't want a deligent man who worked hard all his life to get knowledge like Baba Adeboye, Folorunso Alakija, Nana Akufo, Joe Biden, Angel Makrel to serve as a President because they want Yeye Bello and Dino melaye

Like I earlier mentioned, you're too deluded for me to argue with. Peace! undecided

I wonder why these people in PDP can’t give us people that have integrity and technocrat like this AFDB man Akinwunmi, Aminat Vice President world organization and Ngozi Nweala and many of these technocrats that are doing well and have interest of this country at hand. Let’s forget about these politicians that are only care about there pockets, egos and their party members. Mentioned names like Atiku, Tambuwa, Er Rufai, and Anyim is like super eagles still thinking of using Amokachi, Mutiu Adepoju and Garba Lawal to play World Cup. This country is more divided and complicated than what any average politician can manage

If it's a 70 years old man that will Restructure nigeria, may he be elected.

The system of running of nigeria is dysfunctional

We need someone with the political will and bravery to initiate Restructuring

So we should vote a Yahya Bello, Kalu, elrufai, pantami, etc because we are looking for a young person as president

Well I believe he's referring to Tinubu

My Edo brother, Tinubu's wife died in 2018?

First wife right!
Where's evidence to this?
Eriokanmi:
E.g, jagaband whose wife died in 2018 at the age of 70 but claiming 69 years in 2022. Oniranu ęda. I'd advise he considers either osinbajo or fashola and give him whichever ideas at hus disposal, capable of moving Nigeria forward.

Exactly... Especially the two major parties, APC and PDP. The president must definitely come from any of the presidential flag bearer of the two parties.

If both APC and PDP presents candidates above 70 years, what will the masses do?

Did the masses swear an oat to vote only apc n pdp?

Good advice.

The problem with Nigeria is not the leaders(who we know are insensitive and selfish) but the people who wield electoral power but lack electoral reasoning. The leaders only leverage on the stupidity of the masses. Take Tinubu for example, whether he's 59 or 69 or 79 or 89 years old, he looks too frail to lead a nation with numerous challenges. This same man would never employ a frail lookin applicant or appoint a frail looking employee to head his AlphaBeta company. That goes to Atiku as well. Just that Atiku appears healthier than Tinubu. But many of the masses are drumming support for hags, seniles, and old-timers who don't give a damn about them. Once again, Nigeria's problem is not the leaders but the people.
very correct. we are our very problem.
