These are the true elders, the North have destroyed the southern governors forum and turned the Yorubas against the Igbos with the 2023 presidency that the North might still retain, if Apc fields Tinubu with a northern muslim as his running mate as he has said earlier and PDP fields Atiku with Peter Obi as his running mate, the southeast and south south might vote for PDP just to spite the Yorubas for what they consider a betrayal so the Fulani retains power.

Southern Governor forum was doomed to fail from the onset .This is becos, every region in the south is very selfish and greedy . I was just laughing when they were busy advocating for power to come to the south. But the very fundamental question they refuse to put into consideration is where in the south should the power come to? So that the new southern unity will not fall apart before it begins.

That alliance formed has been the greatest error the country has ever made.
Tell yourself the truth,that alliance was and is a disaster �.

Much as i have time for Afenifere and Adebanjo as I believe they are the only group that have remained consistent on the way forward for Nigeria which is true federalism, they are no longer influential in yoruba politics talk less of national politics and havent been for close to 20 years.

1.the last time Afenifere backed ANY candidate that won in SW was 1999.

2. They have NEVER backed a candidate that won nationally.

3. If I am not mistaken inthe last 4 presidential elections, the yoruba people have voted against the Afenifere position.

Afenifere have nothing to lose by saying they back Ibo presidency, it's an excuse to be heard especially when the SW front runners have no time for them but they know deep down Nigeria wont elect an Ibo president anytime soon. The average yoruba man may have voted for an Ibo president prior to 2015 but he wont now after all the post 2015 hatred. if Afenifere are not aware of this, then they are not only uninfluential in the SW but also out of touch!!!
