this is mid day and people are at their offices.
are you all this jobless??

I read all of those above, and it is true there is internal strife in Bonny just as in any other clan or kingdom. warri has been there, even Nembe too has been there, Lagos and it's obaship has been there, the emirdom in Kano involving sanusi and ado bayero has been there too, so what is the noise all about?
what sort of us*less people are you all? are you all this jobless?
leave the kingdom to sort out their internal strife, you all should do same in your various communities in Igbo land.
I was shock to see posts from you people even dating back to 2009,2011 etc (I never even write waec sef) and I came to realise you all are old f**ls who are jobless but are busy constituting nuisance and propaganda. is it because there are no jobs In Nigeria?
can't you all join the Nigerian police or Army, or navy or airforce? anything...just stop being this jobless for crying out loud. you all even go as far as infiltrating groups on Facebook and comment nonesense so you'll come back here to screenshot it and celebrate like jobless f**ls. SOON THE INTERNAL STRIFE at Bonny will be over and things will be fine.
you all should get busy with your lives please.

I have screenshots of SE Alabo Clement Brown press release. In it they stated clearly their Ijaw ethnicity and chided Asari Dokubo to act responsibly being an Ijaw himself.

The Igbos here have claimed many times that Ijaws only became prominent in Bonny and Opobo after the Civil war. However, the history of the Brown chieftaincy house clearly stated the contrary.Had Omuso not spoken Ibani to the king during his routine check of slave ships,he won't have been saved.

The Igbos here are just too desperate, and it's irritating. That rejoinder was written by a phony group who are trying to be politically correct for their own selfish gain. The screenshots from Bonny people confirms.

I'll still go back to Captain Pereira's mention of the Rio Real and his confirmation that the Jos were the inhabitants, stretching westwards all the way to Brass river and the Forcados.

So what does Omuso speaking Ibani has to do with anything?
the Ijoid language of Bonny is a language Bonny Igbos Learnt from marrying Ijaw women and other interactions with Ijaws, that other Hinterland Igbos couldn't speak.
So it was a very good way of separating a Bonny Indigene who can speak both Igbo and the Ijoid language, from an Igbo slave from Igbo hinterland who could only speak Igbo.
It by no means meant that Bonny Aboriginals were Ijoid speakers.

Below is the history of Omuso given by the Amayanabo of Bonny!

Even the Omuso itself was originally from Igboland.
His great grandfather was Nwulu who came to Bonny from Okirika, he begot Ukwu, who was later renamed Buo. Buo gave birth to five sons which Omuso was only one of them.
My educative guess is that the Igbo Aboriginals of Bonny didn't arrive to the island with Igbo women, so they kept marrying Ijaw women who brought the so called Ibani(Kalabari language) to Bonny.

NB: Both Nwulu and Ukwu are unmistakably Igbo names.
Which buttresses our point, that even Glynn himself reinforced, that Ijaw Language infiltrated the entire Eastern Niger Delta from their Kolokuma homeland, through maternal relationships!

By: Eng. Fubara Banigo
Chairman Bonny United Front

The attention of Bonny United Front has been drawn to a press release by the Brown Major House 24th January 2022 with the title “Position Statement By The Buoye Omuso Brown Major House On The Incident of The Invasion of Finima with Armed Thugs On The Instruction of The King of Bonny on 22nd January 2022 at Finima”.

While the governing council of the Brown house have an inalienable right to state their grouse concerning the installation of Chief Clement Evans as Se-Alabo by the Bonny Chief’s Council, we equally want to put the records straight on other issues brought forward in the press release.

The statement alleged that the King of Bonny, Edward Asimini William Dappa Pepple III, Perekule XI and some members of his Chiefs’ Council in conjunction with some persons in Finima instigated a breakdown of law and order, causing the destruction of lives and properties in Finima Community. This never happened. What happened was that a duly capped Chief was attacked while returning home to Finima after his installation as Head of the Brown house Opuwari.

The incident occurred about 5:00pm on 22nd January 2022, when Se-Alabo Evan Clement Brown was returning home to Finima, after his official presentation to the Amayanabo-In-Council. The army escorted the convoy to the Buoye Omuso Roundabout Finima and turned back. On approaching Longhouse, there were sounds of gunshots as the crowd that escorted Chief Evans ran for their lives, giving way to armed thugs from Brown house who emerged from their ambush in company of some recognized Kalabari and Ijaw boys. The armed boys went straight to the car and dragged Chief Evans out, brutalized, stabbed and collected his crown and staff before taking to their heels.

The mastermind of the attack rather than own up to their misdeeds are still concerned with dragging the King of Bonny into their campaign of calumny. For the records, the King is a man of peace and will never be found on the wrong side supporting mischief. As the royal father of the Ibani people, traditions and customs vests the King with the power to install Chief’s in his Kingdom. The Bonny Chiefs’ Council is the undisputed and authentic custodian of the custom and culture of Bonny and therefore is in a position to define and implement the tradition of our people. The inglorious actions of a handful of some persons of the Brown Chieftaincy House to install an alien Amadabo in Finima — a stool never heard of in the history of Bonny is not only a deliberate ploy to rewrite history but a terrible attempt to balkanize and cause strive in the peaceful Bonny Kingdom.

In the case of the Brown Chieftaincy, tradition demands that the Hart House cap the Head of the Brown Opuwari before presenting him to the King. This has been the custom since the time of Omuso to the late Se-Alabo Henry Buowari Brown and this was done with Chief Evans Brown. However this was not the case with the purported installation that was done on the 12th of January 2022 with one Engr. Dagogo Lambert Brown as ‘’Chief and Head of Bouye Omuso Brown Chieftaincy House and Amadabo of Finima’’ did not follow the tradition and remains a farce.

For the avoidance of doubt and to clarify history, there is no Chieftaincy House in Bonny Kingdom known as ‘’Bouye Omuso Brown Chieftaincy House’’. Such a house does not exist. The true and authentic name is Brown House. A group of persons therefore cannot create a Chieftaincy House of their own within the Bonny Kingdom and expect it to stand. All existing 34 Chieftaincy Houses which include the Brown House are creations of the Perekule Dynasty. The Brown Chieftaincy House is among the 14 Major Houses of Bonny Kingdom.

Second, the references to suit PHC/174/72, Alagoa and Fumbo (Page 65) and the book by G. I. Jones, (Trading States of Oil Rivers, page 129) to buttress Brown ownership to Finima proves that truly non-natives who make up sections of the Brown House are the ones instigating trouble in the community, as they know nothing of the history of the place they claim to come from. For clarity, the mentioned chapter in Jones' book never talked about the founders of Finima, nor about the Brown House nor the ownership of Finima. So, that claim is mischievous.

Similarly, the suit brought up was over a parcel of land between Bonny and Finima and owned by the Browns and the Jumbos. The land in the case PHC/174/72 is the land lying between Finima and Bonny which host the NLNG. The Jumbos are not part of the Finima Community and so lost the case. But in 1974, in Suit No. PHC/29/74, when the Browns took the Tobins to court over a parcel of land that is located right at the centre of Finima — the property in question was a vast land owned by the Tobin House which was half the size of Finima. After presenting the judgment over the Jumbos in the suit of 1972, ably led by the Chief of Brown House, Late Se-Alabo Idamieibi Brown who was also a witness in the former case, the trial Judge made it clear that the said land in the 1972 judgment was a parcel of land between Finima and Bonny while the land in this case of 1974 is a land that is right at the centre of Finima. They (Brown House) lost the case to the Tobins as they had no title to present.

For Alagoa and Fombo, their account was written with less regards to verifiable sources and cannot be used as evidence in matters to judge ownership of Finima. Bonny history tells that the founder of Finima was Torukubo, a direct ancestor of Chief S.O Tobin. Torukubo begat Waribo who begat Konibo who begat Awanta. Awanta founded Tobin House and was its first Chief and also a powerful juju priest. For the Brown, their true ancestor was Ukwu who was renamed Buo. Ukwu was a son to Nwulu (Wolu) who was brought from Okrika by Onyeasolam. Onyeasolam himself was invited by Sono, a follower of Torukubo. Ukwu also called Buo begat Buo-Ogbulu, Taria, Ofo, Omuso, and Bibiorubo. Omuso the youngest son was sold into slavery by his eldest brothers. While he was on the slave ship, he saw King Fubara who was visiting the Captain in company of (Adango) Hart. He called out to them and was rescued by the King who handed him over to Hart to care for. The King gave two slaves in exchange for young Omuso.

On the supposition that the Bonny community doesn't speak Ibani nor understand the meaning of their names and cultures is laughable. It shows desperations by those with nothing to hold on to in their dance of shame. For the umpteenth time, Bonny Kingdom has a dual origin and culture. Our origin tells of two major migrations into the Rio Real. One version tells of an origin from Alagbariya, a great hunter from the Ibo hinterland and another version of a migration from Kolokuma. The spoken Ibo language is unique to us and has been in Bonny since antiquity, same as Ibani-Ijaw. No one knows which group came first nor do we know which language was first spoken. But what we know of ourselves is that we are unique in culture which has made Bonny great from historical times till the present. This greatness stands Bonny tall among tribes in the Niger-Delta. While the majority of our houses and names are Ijaw styled, the main language remains Ibo. This does not relegate Ibani which is spoken in Bonny, nor does it mean Ibo names and houses don't exist as well.

Finally, his majesty King Perekule XI, will alway stand by the principles as enshrined by the Bonny customs and traditions. Just as his ancestor Perekule I who led the Kingdom into greatness, with his military exploits and reforms that made men equals, King Edward exudes such chivalry knowing that his subjects trust him to chart Bonny into a prosperous and united course. Allegations of despotic leadership from his traducers are mere fabrications to taint our noble father and should be disregarded.

Wow, this is excellent. Thank God Bonny and Opobo are waking up to their true identity on not that Ijaw-Ibani identity crisis. grin

Read through that thing you posted. It stated clearly the founder of Finiama was Torukubo and that's an Ijaw man.Nwulu like other Igbo slaves was acculturated according to that statement. The statement said Sono bought Onyeasolam,Onyeasolam brought Nwulu from Okirika(who must have been a kin or a slave too). The fact that Omuso spoke Ibani distinguished him from the Igbos.Only an indigene could have spoken it.It was the reason Bonny spoke Ibo,that way the slaves won't understand their language and they'll be able to separate the Aborigines from the Igbo slaves

You don't have to guess,Baikie I think stated so,that the Igbos who landed in Bonny (as slaves) didn't come with any woman from their tribe.

Now you contradict yourself. You and your co-revisionists had earlier called the Kalabaris Igbo, and stated explicitly that Ijaws were Sierra Leone. At some point you said they lived only in boats as pirates.

It's the other way round.Igbo language infiltrated the Niger Delta, especially Ijaw land through marriage, and it's still going on as I speak in Bayelsa today.

That deduction was made by Glynn not Baike.
Glynn and Baike already stated that Bonny Aboriginals were Igbos.
We had provided receipts on this countless times.
Baike never said that Igbos landed in Bonny as slaves, he explicitly said that Bonny early settlers were Igbos.

See the receipts again, incase you want to develop selective amnesia.

When did Baikie mention anything about wife? Baikie categorically stated that Bonny ancestory was unmistakably Igbo. It came from Pepple himself.

When Crow and Baikie came, they confirmed that but also acknowledged that majority are Igbos with some few Brass tribes.
No time in the history of these places have Ijaws ever ever been mentioned. Ijaws were only associated with piracy and river dwelling and of course.

New Calabar are a mixture of people and Igbos being chiefly a part of this. Even Asari acknowledged his father, who was also a titled man, and his grandfather and great-grandfather who were chiefs were Igbo. This is in line with all these ancients Ethnographic text.

That being said, Ijaw is a political expansionist movement rather than a tribe. That's why you all after groups that do not speak your language as far as they have oil and water.

They met no Aboriginals.
The Grand Bonny is a different location from Finima.
But as you can see even Finima has strong Igbo presence from it's founding days.
The non Igbo speaking groups in Finima were the Brass tribe, who were not Ijoid at the beginning.

Yes! Glynn noted that Brass itself was originally non Ijaw speaking but became infiltrated by Ijaws through maternal relationship.
Ijaws used to have materilneal society, which helped them infiltrate easily and alter language and society of surrounding independent non Ijaw speaking Niger Delta tribes, through marriage (Ijaw women).

They met no Aboriginals.
The Grand Bonny is a different location from Finima.
But as you can see even Finima has strong Igbo presence from it's founding days.
The non Igbo speaking groups in Finima were the Brass tribe, who were not Ijoid at the beginning.
An what were the Brass tribe from the beginning......Yoruba?

This guy sef.

Finima was founded by Torukobo which is an Ijaw name, all his children had Ijaw names. Is Wari or Diri Edoid or Igboid? The Igbo presence can be attributed to the slaves brought in.

On the contrary,Igbo is political. Can Igbos communicate with their different dialects and understand themselves without using central Igbo.

That excerpt about Igbos having no wives when they arrived Bonny was thoroughly analysed in 9pluto's Bonny thread.

"......coming as they first did into the Ijo country"

That statement is weighty and implied Ijos were met there.

You're claiming it is Okoloama. Just like you say about aminadokiari. And Opoboama instead of Ama Opobo. Even Amanyanabo is Ama onye nabo. So continue beating about the bush while our people in Bonny continue to be awakened.
Lol...at awakened.

The rejection and anti-igbo sentiment is increasing exponentially.Don't you see it in all the Facebook groups you've infiltrated?

What is increasing exponential is the Igbo identity. Already Bonny had rejected the ijaw language entirely. They are more comfortable rapping in Igbo.

Haven't you noticed how they don't pay attention to the Ibani language tutors hahaha.

In one of their rants, they were ranting that Bonny people are even getting proud of "speaking their nonsense Igbo". That they should embrace English rather than their Igbo native tongue. A dialect they have developed for over 600 years now.

They were furious that Opobo are "even proud to speak Igbo". These guys are funny Shaa.

The pains are only just beginning. The great Igbo language is here to stay in Bonny and Opobo.

Ijaw country in this sense meant "riverine terrain".
Never did Glynn imply that Ijaws were there first.
He explicitly deduced that Igbo Aboriginals were far away from Igbo hinterland in Bonny and had to depend on Riverine Ijaw neighbors for wives, likewise Efik and Edoid ancestors of New Calabar and Brass respectively.
That was how Ijaw gained ground those places.

Unfortunately your wishes don't represent facts.
The non Igbo presence in Finima was from Brass(which was non Ijoid in Origin).

Finima is Brass territory and they seem to have unfortunately assimilated too many Ijaws.

Igbos however have no interest in Finima, we are only interested in Bonny. We are just making you recognize that even in Finima, there was an Igbo presence from the very beginning.

Would you take a look at this f**l

So it was the Igbo Aborigines who were the founders that called the curlew (okolo)
And then when the curlews fly away owing to FOUNDERS settlement, they say "okolo-ma" meaning curlew fly away
That what you're trying to tell us?

Since when did igbos started speaking an ijoid Language?
So it's no longer nnu'nu Fe, it's now okolo'ma

Have you all seen how your lies don't connect?
