Alcohol is not for everyone, including kpoli. Alcohol should be consumed responsibly not getting drunk.

Non-alcoholic wine was never known back then. The context of the chapter show it was booze, a top quality wine popular among its drinkers.

It was practically impossible to brew wine without alcohol back then. If it doesn't shack them they won't claim it was better than the previous they drank!
