The only practical way to stop this nonsense is to apply tough penalties to offenders.
If dem catch you, you are publicly beheaded & burnt to ashes & used for manure.
You are absolutely right. A lot of crime going on this country needs stiffer penalties.

It's the domino effect of poor leadership... Nigeria is lucky to have Religion and "it is well" still holding it. Any country with such indices below would have gone full blown war and anarchy.

- 200m population..
- 10m out of school children..
- 100m below poverty line..
- 30,000 minimum wage with inflation at 17%..
- 34m unemployed able population..
- 4m Internally displaced persons..
- World poverty capital..

Solutions:

- Massive Low cost housings.. (rental inflation clipped which saves the bulk of salaries)

- Refineries (privatised).. (Petrol monopoly clipped)

- Mortgage and credit system facilities on properties and items.. (self actualization even with low income, yahoo/fraud/ritual influence on people would be extinct)

- Strict labour laws (mandatory 6hrs jobs only)..(massive employment as12hrs jobs like we have now must be shared between two persons)..

- All vacant lands can be used for agriculture if not developed after 2months of sale or face revocation.. (massive agricultural revolution as owner would turn farmers by force while creating employment)..

And how would you divorce economic hardship from current trend. A country where people pay twice as much for what they paid in 2015 will dispose people to awkward reasoning and moves.
Other factors? Yes but country's poor leadership and economic frustration contribute a lot

We are all in this hardship together and no amount of lack will let me view the life of another fellow human being as a means to an end. There is no justification for money rituals, if it were an animal but a human being? I can't even watch a horror film at night talk less of beheading. The rot or the progress in the society starts from the home. When family values fail then the entire society and has failed. What are we feeding the minds of this young ones. Many parent has left parenting in the hands of Instagram and TV. Online fake lives is the motivation for most of this atrocities. We need to fix the family values

Any ritual that involves using human blood or body part to make you wealthy is fake, the quicker people realize this the better for the whole society. Money is not spiritual so can someone explain how will the money gets to ritualist from the so called sacrifice.
Funny thing is Na only hear say people want make we believe and that’s the problem.
Imagine grown up adult in 2022 still thinking killing someone will make you money, the little ones listening to the arguments will feel it valid all because the so called adult believe it.
You’ll see a 2 hour movie where a ritualist will enjoy the whole movie and at the end the person runs mad or suffers for 5 minutes, what message is the movie passing then.

The social media is another perspective that aids that backward thinking because it’s full of fake life and fake information from people who don’t even know themselves but will believe hear say. The killing innocent people as a result of stupidity has to stop abeg
Ritualist are ritualist
Yahoo boys are scammers
Government is against better life polices
But no justifying harmful actions

So as old as u are u still think money is d paper u carry about.
If u are calling it fake, then something is fishing.
Maybe u are one of them trying to deceive pple that it's fake.

If u have a vigilante group or security in ur estate or street, sit them down nd ask them what they normally see at night.

My brother, God bless you for this.

This is nothing but a working template, as could be seen amongst working nations.

Our leaders have some hearing and sight issues, which could be seen from their useless policies. They kept on blaming the parents, churches etc whereas the only entity fueling all the atrocities in today's Nigeria is no other person but the Government. They should adopt all stated above by you, and see Nigeria wear a new developmental look in all ramifications.

Another way of looking at the Justice System i.e the police, courts, jail's etc is that they exist to put away antisocial law breaking idiotic miscreants whatever their belief. Wherever the judicial system fails, people start waisting thire time analysing why individuals act as they do, blaming societies morals, and generally talking here and there and resolve nothing.

women will rather have men do the killing and give them the money. The heart of a woman is desperate but not as brutal as a man in my opinion. If not, its not difficult for a lady to invite a guy over, poison his drink and kill him.

Another way of looking at this labeling of Nigeria youths as ritualists, is social media's need for De-marketing-Nigeria-content, disenfranchising them. Youth is being made out as unfit to govern Nigeria. In other words, what hope for the future, if youth is worst than the current elder statesmen and women.

I agree with you but bad economy has it's role in this societal decadence. That you wouldn't do it does not mean others have strong will and determination to be right like you.
Being that there is thin line between Yahoo fraud and ritual killings, how do you advise jobless graduate of three - four years to remain hopeful when he has needs and need to meet them.
There, country leadership comes in. While parents are playing their roles, country leadership should play hers too in giving hope to everybody at least to reduce the population that might deviate into evil. The country never had it this bad in term of cannibalism, senseless killings and kidnapping for money.
The reason I hold Buhari responsible. We shall get over this someday

either openly or secretly the government of a territory controls and decides what becomes a trend.
So therefore since the ruling power of Nigeria is colonial Europeans, there must be a reason why they want to tarnish he image of Nigerians with epidemic of money ritual .

As historians say, the enemies like to destroy a peoples image before before murdering them through war, cause then the world will say they are bad people anyway so who cares if they get killed.

Just like 419, , then yahoo , then open money ritual epidemic is all colonial European government controlled.
