Just like blaming Hollywood for rise in gun violence in America or war in Syria. Until you start blaming the right people(the government/politicians ) and holding them accountable for the rise in poverty and decline in the economy then we are just running around circles. Nigerians can be really dumb a lot of times o 1 Like |

How misdirected can a cohort of fools be? They point a needless finger at Nollywood, forgetting that their remaining four fingers are not only pointing at them, but indicting them as well. Hopeless country. |

Im ashamed of my fellow yoruba people. They have made skull mining a personal business. Even the dead inside the grave can no longer Rest in peace. If the act continues, I will renounce my yoruba tribe and become a yoruba Muslim or relocate to Anambra. 1 Like |

Ban unnecessary show of wealth on social media. Follow China way. Blaming Nollywood won't change a thing. Last week, Zubby Michael showed off receipt of 8.5m on social media. For what? Among his followers are shop attendants earning 30k a month. Even a civil servant with 35 years of service won't receive gratuity upto that amount. Do you expect these people to see the receipt and feel indifferent? We oppress people with money in the name of motivation these days. 2 Likes |

Hardly will you see ritual killings for wealth in Hollywood movies but mainly organized crime with effective policing, romance, war scene. Technology etc. We have a government who believes the youths in 2022 should go back to the farm when their counterparts in developed countries are living normally and stress free without need for desperate riches to survive. Nollywood then provides them with the rituals killing option to escape poverty imposed by the greedy government while NEPA failure won't allow them to watch the movie till the end where the consequences are embedded. |

Annie001: Afonja this, Afonja that. Skull miners, Brown roof and Fulani Ass-lickers! So one day some people will come to Yorubaland on campaign hustings! Only fools vote for they that malign them. Only fools vote for people who do not wish them well even when those people conduct their businesses unmolested in Yorubaland. To think that their 5 PERCENTAGE VOTES ain't enough to see a mere local government councillor into office in the larger Nigeria. As they abuse the Yoruba so they abuse compatriots on the other side of the Niger and Benue rivers. Let no one plead justice, national peace and oneness when the time comes. So if you're adept at dishing out abuse to someone who hasn't offended you in any way, please continue. A day soon, you shall be reminded of your past utterances, because as the Elders say, the word is an egg! |

The Nigerian Film industry - both the Nollywood in the South and Kannywood in the North - is a huge disappointment. The rising trend of ritual killings in the South is attributed to the prevalence of such Films in Nollywood. The Northern Kannywood is all about dancing and fake love. The Actors and Actresses lacked professionalism. Films are supposed to be educative, spread awareness and Inspire people to be a better person. Films should be an avenue where people learn new things. Children should be encouraged to be creative, and not to be ritual killers. This is the main reason why I don't watch Nigerian Films as these Films will never help me deal with difficult situations. #NB: Tyrant Buhari and Tukur Buratai wanted to change the narrative of the Saudi-sponsored genocidal massacre of more than one thousand innocent men, women, children and infants in Zaria in December, 2015, via a movie from the Nollywood. We successfully destroyed that evil agenda. Lest I Forget! The supervising agency for Nigerian Films is totally useless. This underlined the poor quality of our Films. #ElbinawiTweets |

I have been saying for time immemorial, Nollywood have not help at all, you can never see someone who is poor getting rich by inventing something or discovering ideas. They always get rich by one darbolic means or the other. The Nigerian movies industry promoted cultism and gangstarism too within schools and in the street. This is mostly common in the Yoruba movies. Now,it have become norm for the youth who grow up watching these movies. |

Its sad there's so many idiots who believe in imaginary entities will enrich them if they engage in ritual murders. If they weren't stupid or lazy enough believe in get rich quick schemes this would be an issue. The biggest issue is these people don't have a more compass. Even if they are stupid or lazy they would see this a beneath them. |

APC government & blame game like 5 & 6 How can you cease everything meant for the people keep our youths jobless yet you're blaming nollywood movies. I learnt from nollywood that ritualists doesn't end well & that should be enough reason not to join. Until Nigerian government stop marketing evil people in government & make it possible for younger people to participate in government no matter your religion or tribe. We will keep retrogressing |
