Whoever authored this feast if he were a good man must have failed to realize that even good things or good intentions can be a tool in the hands of the enemy to inflict destruction on many.
It reminds me of Gideons Ephod in Judges 8:27. Gideon a good man God used to destroy idolatry in Israel created an idol albeit unintentionally before his death and that became a liability to his posterity. Valentine day is not really a day for lovers as claimed, it is a day for "LUSTERS". I remember just a few years ago a lady took to the social media to lament the ills of valentine day how it almost cost her younger sister her life. Her little sister in preparing for valentine's day and what it entails sprayed perfume on her private part so that her " VAL" will not be disturbed by any offensive odour while "culminating val". The girl ended up in hospital and were it not for the assiduous intervention of doctors would have died. Are you surprised? Don't be naive, that is what Val is all about at least to our youths and many perverted adults who are only old in years and not in morals. Val is all about sex, sex and sex and nothing more. It is about premarital and extra marital sex. It is next only to or might even rival Christian in debauchery and sexual perversity.
It is sad to see young girls sacrifice their virginity on the alter of valentine, married women sacrifice their marriage vows on the alter of st Valentine. It is a day almost all unmarried lovers most have sex. Anyone not playing along is looked upon as awkward. The saddest part is to see adults who should frown at these vices lending their voices in support.
Valentine day is doing our society no good, whatever the intended purpose, it has been hijacked by the prince of darkness and only dark deeds are perpetrated on that day. Let us warn our sons and daughters, let us warn everyone we wished well not to bow to the goddess of valentine which is goddess of sex. It will only lead to regrets and sorrow. Unwanted pregnancies, abortions, sexually transmitted infections, ritual killings, death through rival cult wars are what valentine's day will on its trail as dividends. To the married, love your wives everyday and not on a special day. If you must reserve a special day for special love, then do it on your birthdays. Let us join hands together and kicked the devil away who is hiding behind the mask of st Valentine's day to corrupt our young people.
