Buhari as a herdsman can trek from Daura his home town to PH City so no big.
So those who fought to keep Nigeria one are the ones protecting the unity of Nigeria, who will take over that responsibility when they all gone?

I find it hard to understand how same Nigerians who claim to want unity talk about its civil war like it was a great thing to happen in its history.

This isn’t a war against an outside force bt a war against ur own people and u talk about it amusingly?? undecided

This isn’t how to keep or sustain unity.

If Anything the Nigerian government owe the Biafrans/South east region an apology on how the war was ended in an inhumane way.

A war against ur own people should not be glorified in a united country. It is a dark memory not an achievement.

1. Poverty Capital of the world

2. 3rd most terrorized nation in the world

3. The most unstable power supply in Africa( probably the world)

4. The highest out of school children in Africa( Probably the world)

5. Where some people have had to eat grass to survive

Buhari Your trekking was in vain, You should apologize to Nigerians for trekking

too late to cry when the head is off.
Even the president have already been admitting his failures as a president in his recent interviews.
Anyway all na still part of the Nigerian government tragicomedy movie.
But Buhari is the worst civilian president ever of a country in the whole world.
What a lazy so called president

Do you mean he chased fleeing southeasterners, mostly civilians, to the border between Nigeria and Cameroun?

May the victims of that genocide find rest!

Femi must be really very da.ft!!
Gakem was where the Civil started.... in early July...not so sure but must have been 2nd of July..Gakem is in the Old ogoja province( the only province that I think a state has still not been created out of) .
Gakem is currently in Bekwarra Local Government Area not even near The Cameroun border, you have to go through Utugwang and Obudu, Obanlikwu etc..to get that close to The Cameroun hills...there are currently about 20 border villages in cross river state from bakasi in the south to "Ogoja " in the north of cross river and Gakem is not one of them...or relatively close .perhaps about 290km by road to the closest border from Obudu

he and his principal who currently suffer amnesia cannot pull a wool over our koro koro eyes
The first shots were fired there triggering a full blown war, now known as he Nigerian Civil was ...not the earlier police action in Ibo land.
In fact this was where the Ibo made Ogbuniwe(?) bomb was first tested...

So if his field commander was located in Kastina-Ala or Gboko he could easily have marched there..during that initial confrontation which was by no means an easy encounter because the Biafran troops were in Gakem on tip off weeks before the Nigerian invasion and they had dug tenches in anticipation of the war...but of course the troops deployed by the Biafran commanders in charge of that axis were inexperienced so did not hold the fort long enough.

The Nigerian Army could not access Ogoja from the East until they first gained grounds in Gakem after a few days of fight iwith backups from Markurdi. Ojukwu's men would have repelled and completely defeated the Nigerian Army had the Biafrans mobilized experienced troops there...(I'm sure Biafran Brig. General Madiebo regretted that for a long time during the war)so they couldn't hold out and they eventually withdrew to igoli Ogoja, then to Okuku in present Iyala local government even used a small air strip at Mary knoll college, Okuku in y'all for a while before they were pushed back into Abakaliki eventually after some months of fighting ...
Buhari could either have marched from the Benue Axis as I earlier pointed out or he probably was among those who were located in Abakaliki after the fall of Nsuka , Enugu and the Today's Ebonyi...the only other possibility was him trekking from Calabar but that axis was under Col "Black scorpion" Adekunle and was ably manned by Lt. Col. ALABI Isiama of course after some months of fighting around the old cross river state....for instance Ikot-Ekpene is on record to have fallen and retaken thrice( 3 times) that's how fierce the battle in The the South eastern state was..

Finally, if buhari feels that much nolstalgia about Gakem, that is so linked to the Civil or uncivil war( depending on who is looking at it) why has he not done anything monumental or even a national centre to remember that little town along the road to the north ...test he's been in charge of affairs in nigeria twice...Shame!! shocked
