Welcome to Anambra: Indeed The Light of the Nation... {unfortunately, the Nation is best know as "There was a country"

Ndi-Anambra gave demonstrated excellently that meaningful and strategic Zoning can bear real dividends of Democracy.

Without Zoning, Anambra North would not hv ever been able to produce a Governor like H. E. Willie Obiano. Also APGA's Ideology Nke Anyi bu nkeya..." means they hv got no other option/choice but to deliver.

Thanks to Dr C. Ngige for destroying politics of godfatherism. Kudos to Peter Obi for ensuring fiscal discipline, integrity and accountability with some infrastructural development. Twale to W. Obiano for raising the standard of feasible infrastructural devpt with meagre resources. God be with C. Soludo to outclassed and smart-perform on best notes.

Anambra Zoning Strategy should be a Case Study to both States and Federal Government...

Those of Imo State played their roles in launching Owerri as major event hosting city in Nigeria even though politics has grounded all that. This event center is good and will definitely help Awka become a choice event city at least for Anambrians at home and diaspora.

Why has the one in Owerri not made Owerri " a choice event city at least for Igbos at home and diaspora"?

How this event centre automatically make anambra" a choice event city at least for Anambrians at home and diaspora"?

Quite a bit‘s been done from what we saw last week! They mean business with that ICC logo they’re installing there....looks cutting-edge and sleek! And the seating looks good and comfy too. Just hope delegates don’t get too comfortable and doze off during seminars and other functions! shocked

With the new convention centre, the state will be able to play host to a lot of state, national and international functions! These in turn would have a trickle-down effect on other sectors of the states economy, like aviation, hotels, catering, entertainment, events planners, security, etc! It’s people that will be employed for all these and not martians or robots!

This is how a conference center ought to look like not like the one okorohausa wasted billions to construct in owerri that collapsed in less than a year.

I think you should worry more about the chadians and Nigeriens coming through the north working as Okada and waste iron collectors. These guys add no value to you but cause the most mischief they dirty your environment and most of the theft of manhole covers are from them. Please I know this post on the convention centre is making you unhappy because of your bigotry but please for the past 20years the influx of igbos to Lagos is reducing seriously but rather the influx foreigners claiming northerners is increasing go to Ijora and Agege they come in daily.

You need a viable economy, traversible roads and security to make the most of such.

You Nigerians are only good at theories.
Economy economy! What is economy?

1. Is your argument based on the number of usage or the amount spent by capable groups

International centers are not for birthday parties/naming ceremonies. That's why political groups like PDP can pay heavily for it's usage.

2. I'm sure those that came to inspect the center didn't jump from Jupiter.
3. The way your country is, you may need security for all events including religious activities. So what's your point?

Our leaders like to build empty buildings like hotels, empty convention centres, and beer parlours.
When will they start to build factories, hospitals, power plants, mechanized farms.. etc to reduce unemployment and increase standard of living for the citizens.

Anambra slum in dry land and Makoko slum in dirty stagnated pond, which is far better. Kai, even if most people are known for dirtiness and unhygienic practice, it shouldn't be on something that affects their health. Makoko slum needs instant demolition completely.

Too early to engage dull and envious mind only an ignorant mind will be comparing this edifice to local conference centres in many states, how many of those local centers can host Africa movies award, NBA , Africa music award etc, before now Anambra we have one of those local conference centre in Awka callDora Akunyili centre, the new one is 10,000 capacity, may be your state social activities is poor, not with Anambra state, Anambra is commercial and industrial hub, home of nollywood movies and home of leading Nigeria musicians and gurus in entertainment industry, like Psquare, Phyno, Flavour, Kcee, Emoney, Obi Cubana, Obi Asika etc, Awka every weekend is always beehive of social activities

Below is one of the local conference centre in Awka you can find in other states
